I have watched all your videos and understood the basic process, but having you explain it - even with KZbin's translation - makes it much more detailed, and gives me a new appreciation for the work you put into your barrels. Thanks again!

@@tmzhenatanwoodworking7252 Quick question for you. I’m trying to recreate your jig for routing the angles but am having trouble. What type of material did you make it out of and is there any specific dimensions for a guide for it or is it simply just to hold it in place? Thank you!

Soo I thought I had a god supply of white oak for making barrels but apparently they are red oak. Should I go buy white oak or can I stick with red? I’d like to age some unaged whiskey I get from a local distillery. Thanks!

Hi Eugene, I hope you are safe in Ukraine, and are having a good week so far. I am interested in trying to make a barrel myself, but am hung up on the way the router is set up to cut the staves at an angle (timestamp 9:31). I think mounting the router to an angled plate cut to 9 degrees would work for a few barrels, but ultimately an adjustable mechanism would be ideal. Would you mind sharing your setup for mounting the router at an angle? Thank you, Mike
@tmzhenatanwoodworking7252 Жыл бұрын
Hi Mike!!!Thank you very much!!! I installed the router stationary, and adjusted the angle with a movable tabletop. Watch this video with subtitles on my second channel. I think it will help you. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2aynpiGqqiMga8

A great video that explains how to make barrels, I have been looking for something like this for a long time on KZbin. I am going to try to make a cable tensioner to close the barrels up, did you make it yourself? Thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍

Great video and explanation. Question. The dimensions on the template jig sheet did not seem to match the spreadsheet. Can you explain the measurements on jig template? Peace and keep up the good work.

Hi! I’m in the process of figuring out how to make a small batch of barrels with very particular sizes. Can you help me out to calculate the difference for the staves, the angles and all that based on the height, top and middle measurements? This are the measurements Height 650mm Top 400mm Middle 450mm I would really appreciate the help
@tmzhenatanwoodworking72526 ай бұрын
Hello. I recommend using 24 barrel staves 655mm long and 60-61mm wide in the middle and 52-53mm wide at the edges. The angle of the side edge of the barrel staves will be 7.5 degrees. Good luck!!!

@tmzhenatanwoodworking72529 ай бұрын
