Inexpensive nice acoustics are somewhat rare these days- the Canadian made brands of Norman, Seagull, Art & Lutherie used to have inexpensive models but those days are done. Good to see Gretsch offers these

I just got the parlor deltoluxe, received it last week. Never had a Jim Dandy before, so I can’t compare to the older models but it looks great (the binding and matching pickguard look fantastic) and sounds awesome, especially the pickup. From the pictures I saw of the old models, I noticed they moved to bridge pins now, which I personally prefer. Great little guitar with a very specific sound, regardless of the price

I still don’t know why I love my Jim Dandy, but I do. I’d love the concert, as it looks like the neck joins at maybe the 14th feet, instead of the 12th.

I actually emailed Gretsch customer support to ask if they'd changed the nut string spacing. The rep's response was that the specs haven't changed on the nut, but they only mentioned the width of the nut, not the string spacing. Which didn't really answer my question, but the fact that they responded within a couple of days indicates that they do listen to customers (I'm betting the new pinned bridge is in response to the bellying issues of the previous model) so maybe they addressed the nut spacing as well. I'll be watching your channel to see your impressions of the new ones.

Just got the 00 model today. I will have to find a ruler and measure string spacing, but just looking at the nut it looks as if there is room at the edges that it could be brought out more. Sounds awesome, though.

52 mm nut with with 8 mm between strings and about 2 mm at each side.

Am interested in the concert Deltaluxe😉👍👍 Gretsch has been on the right track, and hopefully this track will include this series. The Chris Rocha Electromatic Broadkaster is a beautiful and a great example of "The Right Track" that Gretsch is currently holding 😎👍👍 😎✌👍❤🖖

The nut width of the Jim Dandy and Deltoluxe Dreadnoughts are listed as 42.7mm - 1.6825 " on the Gretsch site. 43MM - 1.69" for the Jim Dandy Parlour and Deltoluxe Parlor 42.86 mm - 1'6875" for the Jim Dandy Concert and Deltoluxe Concert I have a Deltoluxe pickup permanently installed in my '74 Guild F-20 parlor guitar. I had to ream out the strap peg hole. I'm interested in a Deltoluxe Dreadnought to join my F-20 and Gibson J-29 rosewood.

I saw the Anderton's video about these, and I thought the black Concert Deltaluxe looked pretty interesting. As luck would have it, a Guitar Center near me had one in stock, so I stopped by to check it out. Just as Jack observed about the original Parlor, the Concert also sounded "thin and tinny." So, if that's the vibe you're after, you'll probably be happy. I play with fingers, and I found the acoustic sound anemic and unsatisfying, so I didn't bother to try it plugged in. I scratched it from my list, and moved on.
