Please put Cure on your shortcuts and don’t solely rely on Donald for heals. Donald can be a good party member for support if you customize him correctly. The 1st new spell you got this episode is Areo. Donald used it on you during the tournament. It uses 2 mp and buffs defense. The 2nd new spell Gravity is an “advanced” spell in the customization menu for Donald. It does damage in percentage of the enemy’s current health.

"Donald, please heal" _forgets Sora has Cure and a full MP bar, and proceeds to run as far away from Donald as possible so he gets busier with whatever's right in front of him_ Seriously though, I don't think it's a settings issue here, they seem fine for the most part (could probably be better tuned for what you want from them, but works OK). It's not 100% consistent and I don't know everything about the AI in this game, but something I noticed from this playthrough so far (that I never thought much about) is that apparently they tend to heal you more often when you move closer to them _and they see you need the help._ And since you're -being a coward and- trying to have Donald and Goofy do most of the fighting, they stick closer to each other all the time, which leads to Donald healing Goofy pretty often when he needs it. Of course, this can be counterintuitive when he's close to the enemy that you're running away from, but next time you want Donald to heal you, try to move closer to him without getting too close to the enemy if possible. And all that's without mentioning the shortcuts. More than enough people already did that here, so I'll just add that you actually already have all the main spells I remember using for shortcuts on my playthrough (Cure, Gravity and Thunder)

While I would normally hate on summons, one specific summon in this game is what allowed me to beat one of the last few bosses. Not all summons are made equal, and I fear the cost-benefit of Simba isn't the best one out there.

One of the commentors mentioned a scene with Pinnochio. Also Congratulations on winning the Phil Cup. It's basically the beginner's cup. The more advanced cup is story driven. But take Solo and Time Trials off screen. If you complete Solo in the original version you get a Mythril Shard but since you're playing Final Mix you'll get a Combo Plus. Complete it in less than 3 minutes, which should be easy enough at lv 50 or so, you get Tech Boost. It was an AP Boost in the original. I bet there will be bonus episodes for cleanup. Speaking of, I once went through all of KH without changing any equipment. Also you do know Warhammer and big shield are there, you could've bought those. Anyway as Abys Mal once said "Onward to Agrabah!"

I love how they forget the minor details, because they seem so unnecessary. Just remember everything that is said to you. EVERYTHING SAID MATTERS lore wise or help gameplay wise 😆Fairygod Mother will not be slandered when it comes to Summons. The poor attention to dialogue will be though 🤣

So you remember the wire you used electricity on last episode? That activated the rising platforms inside the Gizmo Shop. The switches you pressed activated a little clock inside the Gizmo Shop (not the clock on top of the Gizmo Shop). You should check the clock. But that can only be done once no more enemies have spawned in.

Some of the summons in these games are BROKEN. They can either melt through enemies or keep Sora alive for a long time. Definitely worth trying them out.

12:40 - 14:44 The game is not at fault for you being slow with the menu. Also, you _can_ equip Cura in your quick-cast menu, where all you need to do is hold LB and double tap ∆ or whichever you put Cura on. Super quick way to not game over while you learn how to navigate your item menu faster. 😘🤓

In general, Summons get rid of your party members with the exception of one very specific Summon that you obtain through the main story. That Summon is absolutely amazing, and you will love it when you realize how OP it is.

Theres something so simple and clean about opposite armor's fight that i love it shows sora's strength growth just to invert and go crazy its really satisfying Also agrabah is one of my favorite worlds in the series (another come later)

Fun fact: Opposite Armor (the Heartless you fought) is one of 2 bosses in the game (I'll explain the other when we get there) where you can actually leave the fight at any time because the exits aren't sealed. Sure, its health will be reset, but I love the idea of just saying "Screw this, I'm outta here" and leaving the boss behind to wreak havoc on its own!

So now that we’ve started unlocking new tournaments in the Coliseum and ways to go about them, I think I can ask: what are y’all’s plans for handling side content? Do you want to save tourneys for streams? You do in fact get something for clearing a tourney solo, and another variant unlocks after clearing that mode that you can do that will also give you something. Plus there are some optional lategame bonus bosses, I’d love to see you at least try fighting them. Those would make the most sense for dedicating streams to.

At 6:33 Donald was casting magic on the bell because Evan was pressing Y. In Kh1 party members will attack what you are locked on when you press Y in combat.

please assign cure to a shortcut and use it. you have mp for a reason. you can also test summons at merlin's house. you earned Simba there so may as well do a quick test to see their effects instead of yolo'ing during a boss.

This. With the way that they're talking, it almost feels like they think Cure was a spell that only Donald got, and that is a very costly mistake to make! I definitely hope they make the most out of Cure in this game, where it *doesn't* use up all of your MP like in KH2

Summons replace your entire active party in battle, cannot be used if any party members are knocked out, can only be used once per battle, require a full MP bar, will leave you without any MP once they’re gone, and I think the only way to know what they do beforehand is to check the Journal. Not all of them are particularly good, though Simba’s good for early crowd control, not so much boss DPS. 30:36 Instead of healing, Donald cast Aero on you. Aero summons a wind shield around you that reduces damage taken by a set amount for a short time. Ali probably didn’t recognize it because it was changed to an offensive spell in CoM and replaced altogether in II. Evan truly is blind if he didn’t see the swirling vortex around Sora.

Also, upgraded Aero spells will also block projectiles. This is something that is extremely useful against a couple of the endgame bosses, so hopefully they're able to find the upgrades!

Not gonna lie, this comment combined with what happened after they first used Simba (and did nothing with him) doesn't give a good first impression of Summons, but in KH1 they're arguably the most overpowered they've been in the entire series. I don't want to spoil anything, but there's one in particular you get later that you just can't die while it's active, and by that I mean that it _literally_ won't let you die. Combine that one with Aero, and if one keeps dying even after all that, they should just abandon the series altogether because at that point being bad at the game would be an understatement

Summons don't drain your entire MP bar in KH1. They do in KH2, but MP also works different on that game.

I don't think I've ever been this early. Also, if you'd like hints, (read more) I don't know if they're even reading the comments between videos. You should be using your magic a lot. Every time you hit an enemy, you get MP back as long as your bar isn't completely full like it is (The smaller orange bar on the blue bar). That little orange bar technically can give you more times you can cast a spell. Summons are also really crappy at any point before you get a specific one. Fire is my favorite at low-levels, and you will get a really good combo late-game with one of your spells (the one you just got; it's kind of a shield, not another attack) and a specific Summon.
