There’s actually research and science supporting talking to strangers! It’s good for our brains, immune systems, and of course, connection with others is so important spiritually.

I can see why, it’s a reminder to not look at others as “”npcs”” as some people like to say, and look at people as friendly beings just like you living and trying just like you are. You could make someone’s day. I wish I was more able to honestly, I don’t initiate and I often go into public with a “don’t talk to me” aura 😭

I regret all my tattoos at first! And then they grow on me and I don’t even notice them anymore. It’s not because the tattoos are bad, but because they’re new and aren’t a part of my identity yet. I think you’d like black ink instead of red!

as someone who is constantly learning, questioning and evolving, I would love to hear more about your experience with non-monogamy if you'd like to share someday! It's something that I really look upto and want to hear more about the real life experiences (at least the healthy portrayal of it and people actually being happy beyond just sex!)

I’m glad you talked more about getting a tattoo and it not completely settling in even after giving it time. It’s affirmed my decision to want to get some of mine removed that I got years ago and do not align with their stories anymore.

This is pretty random but I am so so happy you talked about your tattoo. I have a small one (a part from many others) that I do not like and will get removed one day I think (mostly also because the experience was bad). Somehow I carried a lot of shame around having gotten one that I now don‘t like anymore. But seeing this kinda made me feel like it can happen to all of us ❤️❤️❤️

Hitomi, I have two tattoos I regret and have struggled with the shame and anxiety that have come with them. It’s such a learning and deepening experience and it can make you feel so alone. So many people go through this though and I personally have taken it as an opportunity to detach from an perfect ideal physical self and also from sourcing my worth and acceptance through the way I look and how others perceive me. I’ve found that through having tattoos I regret (and am now removing so they are a bit wonky) that I don’t need to explain myself or my journey to other people. I sometimes feel really uncomfortable in my inked skin and go through all of the what if’s and if only’s in my head but I honestly feel like it’s just another experience to teach me detachment and impermanence, as well as how to be present and not dwell on what is done. Props to you for sharing your regret. It can feel strange to be seen as so human. You are always beautiful and divine no matter what. Also one of my tattoos is a red ink tattoo that’s just too big and in weird placement so I guess we’re in this together in some sense 🙃😂 sending you immense love!!!! You are a light and you have helped me immensely since I was in high school (now 22). Bless your being and soul. Thank you again for your everlasting honesty, it helps us all connect our hearts and human experiences to feel less alone. ❤️🏹

I think the tattoo looks great! And this is coming from someone who is pretty particular about tattoos. And I haven’t gotten any myself , ecause they would have to be perfect and I don’t want to regret them. So I really do understand your concerns, but I still think it looks dope! I think if it were more ink and colors, it definestly think it would have been too much. But since it’s just lines and one color, the simplicity helps a lot.

I have so many tattoos at this point, but one of my newest was just not it. And at first I felt ashamed and tried to force myself to like it, but I started wearing clothes to cover it up, which wasn't good for me mentally. I have had five tattoos done by this one tattoo artist and trusted him wholly with my sixth. However, we completely miscommunicated that day and his mood felt off too. He drew the design, it was BEAUTIFUL, but not what I asked for. After him redrawing it the third time, I felt bad and said "yes", but as soon as the needle started going, I regretted it. Fast forward, I have had parts of it removed and initially thought of redesigning it, but I like it how it is now and have left it at that for some time. It is as if a heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders since the removal. And there's no shame in removing it either. I like that you spoke of this "mistake" (which it isn't), but having many tattoos (which aren't all that accepted in the older generations of my family) it felt like an even bigger mistake!
