It's both, they were planning character assassination against Webbon, Isker, etc. using this incident and had the declaration planned to be released some time after, the 'oopsies poopsies' is that the conversation was recorded, so when they went on their character assassination spree a while back, Webbon dropped the recording, exonerated him fully, and then they had to rush the declaration to try to rein in the narrative. That's why the prose is so sloppy and confusing. It was both planned, but yet rushed. Thank God for the wisdom of that brother to record the call. Imagine where we'd be without it? Dare I say... providence?

Perhaps a quite tangential question, but after reading Pete Hegseth’s book about classical Christian education, and listening to his interview on Crosspolitic, along with some other recent discussions about his marital history, I can’t help noticing that he seems to be on a clearly born again, growing up in grace, transformational trajectory. While I respect that his situation is strategically sensitive right now, I really hope that Canon/Moscow/etc will continue to tell his story. In a word, a story of the power of REPENTANCE. All Christian’s agree God commands us to not murder. As a Christian we must be able to call balls and strikes and speak truth, which means yes we can acknowledge some (not all) individual aspects of National Socialism and Fascism were actually good and an appropriate response at the time given the context - that does not mean we are sinning against God. I just think that either demographic protection policies are okay for every country, or no country. But I’m quite skeptical about those who carve out a special allowance for one country in the middle east, while denying the same allowance to historically pan-European countries. The growing desire for European descent people to live in countries and communities where they have a controlling interest in their own culture, finance, education, and entertainment is a perfectly natural desire. It does not equate to hatred for any other group. It only sounds like a big deal because this one particular group has been prohibited from expressing such sentiments. However, other groups have openly expressed solidarity and pursued identical aims, both within and outside of the Church for decades, and nobody has hand-wrung over it; nobody has frantically written a Declaration over it. Because it is not sinful to hold special love for one’s brethren “after the flesh.” I think that deep down, this is the issue which looms behind everything else. It is a question of destiny and whether a nation (biblically speaking, “ethnos”) has the right to a controlling stake in its own destiny.

Joel explained his conversation with his church member, who shared the meme privately with only 2 people, 1 being Pastor Tobias, his former Pastor. Joel questioned him for clarity, and said fine. Or, if you just want a summary (from me, a random guy you don't know!) here it is! The big picture is that there are some online folks making some pro-hitler noises that are ruffling feathers. This wasn't that noticeable until a member of well known pastor Joel Webbon's congregation got accused of being anti-Semitic by his former pastor Tobias (which doesn't seem to be exactly accurate, although you can decide for yourself from the video above). Joel Webbon, being an awesome pastor (in my opinion), talked to this church member, concluded the accusations weren't true, and defended the man publicly (since the accusations were public), at which point Joel was accused by some of being anti-Semitic himself. The Antioch Declaration was written primarily to denounce anti-Semitism in the church. One of the writers of the statement was the fellow who first publicly accused Joel's church member. This means many people who defend Joel Webbon see the statement as really being a sidelong accusation aimed at Joel, his church member, and those who support him. That's why the declaration is so controversial, not really for its content, just its context. I really like several of the folks on both sides of this little row, so I really hope some of the big names on each side will get together and talk it out. Hope that helps! God bless you

Because while many of us are not deniers many of us are questioners about the veracity of all the claims of "the post war narrative". It doesn't help that the Soviet Union was sitting on all the evidence and has been proven to lie. The easy and obvious way to see it is this: why did the US media and pop culture not constantly hammer on the Holocaust narrative as they do now from the war to the early 90s? Why wait until most the veterans are dead and/or when the wall falls? Where are the Holocaust movies of the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s? Why are films from that time much more sane about the narrative than the totally unhinged hatefest of films like Inglorious Bastards, when you consider the eras I'm talking about would have been watched by the people who literally killed the Nazis, wouldn't they have been most on board with that? And you can cite a rando french film here or there but there's nothing like Schlinder's List in US media for the longest time. Why do old WW2 documentaries not waste 15 mins discussing how evil Hitler was even if it's just to discuss tank or plane design? There was not a growing contingent of Neo Nazis in the 90s or 00s so why bring it up like there was a need to even do so? Why do I need to accept all claims by sources who've already been proven to lie about death rollercoasters, turning jews into lampshades, cages with bears or eagles, and Anne Frank's own father ghostwriting a fair amount of her diary. So no I would never sign any document agreeing with the "post war consensus" because one doesn't have to deny anything to realize there's a lot of fishy parts of the current official narrative.

Let’s hope it works out for them, cause none of this will age well either way. It is amazing to me that the Antioch Declaration is considered so controversial online. But these are things we all agreed with 10 years ago. It really goes to show how successful the Fed Psy-Ops are in targeting young men, it isn't just the women being manipulated. And the other interesting part is, the people who are the loudest about denouncing the A.D. are the people who seem to do the least for the Kingdom. They hide away behind their screens and keyboards, using red backgrounds with blue eyes, trashing talking Respected Ministries, but actually contribute nothing to us moving forward. They have confused being edgy with clarity. It reminds me why I prefer to live a quiet life away from Lamestream Media and Social Media.

For most folks the Antioch Declaration isn't really controversial for its content as much as for the context in which it was written. It was only put out after Joel Webbon and a member of his church were accused of anti-Semitism, and one of the contributors of the declaration is the fellow who accused Joel Webbon's church member. So many see the statement as intended to accuse Pastor Webbon and those who defend him of anti-Semitism. But yes, a quiet life is much to be preferred!

@@BrianJohnson-lx3zd I come from the Lutheran front of this spiritual war. From my angle, Roseborough and others were correcting a particularly gross white supremacist. Then I saw an exchange about the AD between White and Roseborough. I decided to check up on my Calvinist brothers and saw them all point out that Joel wasn't the cause of the AD, but it was being written up before all of that started. I think even Wilson pointed out they were trying to get out in front of a media firestorm, especially since one of their guys was going to be working under Trump. One of the things I appreciate hearing from White in the past is that he has said in the old days, a month would pass or more before everyone felt the need to make these declarations. Now, with social media, everyone has to jump into the fray, and there is a lot of confusion. I will say this, I don't listen to Calvinists that much anymore, but I have decided I will just stick to Wilson and his crew, and White/Durbin and their crew. They seem like they have their heads on straight.
