Gopal bhakt the elephant is the reincarnation of one of the elephants who was a devotee of lord Krishna at Guruvayur Krishna temple or Udupi Krishna temple .

Same is said in Hindhu families when a child / teen ager shows the same talents / skills of a dead grand father or grand mother!!

Elephants are known to be sensitive and cognitive mammals. The elephant is visiting for the remnant food by the temple priests. I have observed this kind of behaviour among many wild animals visiting the campsite in the jungles and cantuary.

Please don't misinterpret the situation, kindly look into its altered behaviour as they started feeding it. It has to be freely roaming in the wild. Instead its restricted to foraging beside the temple area only. Its good to hear no people harmed it or vise versa. We can't predict the behaviour of wild animals. Wild will be wild always, of anything happens cause of it then all will blame the animal. Its better to remove the habit of offering the food to it ASAP.

Forest is full of plants. So tbis elephant does not need to climh up to visit this temple..its main reason is to worship God. Eating food nearby may be for taking energy after climbing up or may be some rare herbs are there.

There is no spiritual connection here. The tusker is used to being fed delicious food by temple priests and hence comes there. As it a regular to the temple, its used to human presence and causes no harm to anyone.

They elephant is addicted to the taste of the food. Same way in Masinakudi resorts. They feed wild animals and it visits in regular timings for the food offered like Parota Sweets Vegetables etc. Very bad practice to spoil the natural food habits of wild animals. You are doing harm to them to promote your business. The elephant visit also for tasty food.
