My opinion on the broken nail/red light case, I would agree with Mr. Butler on his decision, to fine the accused court cost. Again my opinion, according to the video, it appeared to be going to fast suppose she would have it, someone, pulse according to he testimony, she shouldn't have been driving.

I was really surprised she wasn't told that if she couldn't stop when necessary,, she shouldn't have been driving at all! What if a child had run in front of her car? It seems unlikely that she could afford public transportation, but wasn't there friends or family (child's father, grandparents, siblings) that could have helped her out until she healed? She already knew how fragile/incapacitated these surgeries had made her before. She should have solidified a plan for transportation before having any surgery.

She can't slam on the brakes, Well driver slower, 7:35 Also after jumping the red she had to break hard not to hit the car ahead so think she was rather rude, its everyone fault but hers. Judge you buckled I think court costs should have been set with $5 a month.

Even playing the pitty game of " i can't feed my child if i have to pay anything " . but on the other hand driving a nice car which came to a hard stop 30 feet behind the light without problems. Clearly the officer wasn't buying it but his hands were tied.

Thank goodness Judge Caprio shows mercy in the Providence traffic court! The fines are so high, and the penalties are astronomical! To top that off, too many people never receive any kind of notice. Either no ticket on the car or no notice mailed to them or no warning about an unpaid fine. Red light tickets are notorious for this.

The lady Red Light runner was really lucky a child had not run out in front of her, would she had hit the brakes then. Judge Caprio is really really nice and fun and exciting. He represents a role model to humanity. I am not kidding. He welcomed everyone. I would pee in my pants coming to court. I have been to court in VA before. It’s nothing like this. It was scary and very stressful. I had to take a day off to calm my anxiety. I wish all judges were like judge caprio. I think of him all the time. He makes me a nice person. He encourages me to do good for the society. He taught us to be kind, helping others and do good for the family and the country. What a lovely concept. I wish one day I will be able to see him without a ticket though. Lol.

I normally would agree with the Judge but on that last lady I just felt like she was making excuses and the story kept changing. Plus she went flying through the light and nearly hit the guy in front of her that stopped after the light. Then that comment about less food for her kid would have put me over the top and I definitely would have charged her full amount. He’s a great Judge but I do feel like that one should have been charged.

Broken Nail Lady is trying to put onto Judge Caprio, but see that's the beauty of it, Judge Caprio knows it, and is still lenient, probably knocking it down to the fact that she's desperate, for what he doesn't know. That's why he has a long running TV show, and that's why we watch him, because he's such a gentle and forgiving person. I'm quite convinced if it was another day, she would have got a helling from him. she was just lucky.
