I honestly can not believe that 11th Hour would not be carrying many spare battens. 2 hours delay for a few kilograms of weight?????????🤷‍♂️

So they have spare battens on board but they don’t want to waste them, they thought it was a better option to take the time penalty then to use their spare battens before hitting the southern ocean

@@georgiaschofield9596I think you miss my point. I don’t understand why they only have one replacement for each baton. They have begun the longest leg of The Ocean Race, approximately five weeks at sea. I’d have four or five replacements for each baton. The extra weight is insignificant so why not carry more replacements?
