In celebration of World Day for Audiovisual Heritage on October 27th, Moving Image Research Collections at the University of South Carolina (MIRC@USC) presents a “Window to the World by Amateur Women Filmmakers”. This curated online screening compiles home movies from the 1920s to the 1970s shot by women as they travel the globe with their families and friends, providing us with a window on their explorations and adventures. These films were screened during the Home Movie Day celebrations on October 21st, and is posted here on October 27th to celebrate the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
