I love this channel. I watch all the videos and love the variety. After having cried my eyes out for Yvonne in Friesland and the wonderful Queen Uniek, her best friend, who became so suddenly ill and had to be put to sleep. I needed to come here, like you say it has helped. Seeing the handsome Nero and Tracey giving us updates, makes the world seem real again. 🫂❤️

It's nice to get updates on each of the boys and girls; hope there's some time soon for news on everyone. Been thinking of Hannes recently and glad he's doing good. Very cute that the others check up on sleepy Nero doing his routine. It seems Annie does check out the feed room quite often - wants to make sure nobody has run off with the goodies. I laughed out loud when Hidde took off across the field. He was moving! They're all such a pleasure to watch. Next Wednesday is going to be quite interesting. CAN'T WAIT! Bailey - scones can be tricky, but I know you will succeed. I know my comments sometimes get lengthy, but these videos are worth comment. Thank you

A lovely vlog Tracey - the wind noise reminds me how high your farm is 😊 The girls and boys are looking good for going through such a wet winter, it's been unremitting in the UK, and still not over...... Bailey, your scones, don't overwork the mixture, makes them tough. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated and then stop. Roll out the dough lightly to required thickness and then stop. A light touch will give you yummy scones 😉 Friesians really love their humans ❤

So good to hear how everyone is getting along. It seems like the surprise Vet visits have curtailed somewhat! The herd is looking lovely as always. I can’t get over how different Nero looks clean-shaven! What a handsome brute he is! 😊 Not sure if you follow Yvonne at Stahl H at her stable (which has come about in just the last year and a bit (I think). Anyhow, she’s the one some of us subscribers have mentioned on a few of your LIVE’s. It’s because of her mare, Uniek, that a lot of us subscribers started watching and following Friesian horses from the European area. You guys have an international audience now, in part, due to Uniek. However, some very sad and heartbreaking news … Yvonne lost her prized and beloved mare, Uniek, a couple of days ago ~ to a ruptured stomach. I gather it’s not uncommon with this breed. I’m not entirely sure it’s the same as colic but regardless it’s been absolutely devastating news for all of us! My heart goes out to Yvonne … I know this would have been a very big blow to her! Especially given, as I’ve mentioned, her and Uniek, in a very big way, kind of put this breed on the world map. It’s no doubt how I happened onto your KZbin channel/website. I thank the LORD that last year she decided to do an embryo transplant because Uniek had lost the previous two foals (both stillborn I believe if I’m not mistaken), just prior to her fostering a colt (now a gelding) that we spoke about who has Wobbler’s syndrome. BTW he is starting to improve somewhat. The surrogate mare had Uniek’s filly shortly before she had to euthanize Uniek … so at least she got to see her filly … not that she would understand it was her’s. It just goes to show you how delicate these horses are … and the difficulties of caring for this breed specifically … perhaps more so than other breeds. Sorry for the sad news … but on a happier note, I am looking forward to the next LIVE and update of the others, if it’s not posted prior to Wednesday. Thx as always for sharing … I’m sure I can speak for others … we love how you guys pamper everyone there! All the best! 🙏🙌❤️🇨🇦✝️ P.S. Keep practicing Bailey … you’ll eventually figure out a hack in time! 😁

I was on the Black Horses site when I saw the news about Uniek and rushed over to the community page to find that it was true. I’m heartbroken. I’ve followed that glorious Queen for years, through her ups and downs - and there have been plenty of those! I’m also sad that Uniek ended her life in pain, but none of us has any control and we have to play with the cards we are dealt. On a more positive note little Charlotte and Grace at the Moons (a sanctuary in France who rescue sport horses) are being fed and putting on weight, the lice have been conquered and they are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives being pampered and safe from the slaughterhouse. Now I’m turning to 🌈Rainbow Boy🌈 to cheer me up and I know he’s going to do a good job! Tracey, thank you so much for sharing your life and your black pearls with us. It means so much.❤️🇨🇦❤️

Why does JB have those long hairs on his legs

I think they shaved him but not his legs, so he can stay warm in their Winter season. I thought I heard mention that they will be shaving his legs at some point … that’s if I heard correctly.
