Leah, you’re my hero! My husband passed away and left a shop full of intimidating tools but you have taught me so much I spent the summer building a chicken coop! It’s not perfect but I’m kinda proud of myself for finishing it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost my husband of 39 years (not to death, to a divorce I never wanted), so my pain is similar. However... what kind of chickens did you choose? There's so many breeds, and they all have their pluses and negatives, LOL!

Back for a reminder, and I just want to say: when you see a person with bandaids on their fingers, you know they actually work for a living, and aren't just there for decoration. 😉 Those are the ones that you can trust! As for the chisel work, she's absolutely correct to just work to the middle from the outside. And the protection with a scrap of wood is also dead on. Those kinds of things I know already. I just needed a reminder on the center line maker, and this was the first video I knew she used it in. 🙂

Hi Leah, Just wanted to say Thank you, I have watched a few of your videos on KZbin, for different projects, and i wanted to say that you explain things in simple terms so that people can understand them easier, i am just getting into woodwork and i have been able to make notes on some of the stuff you have done. And because they are explained in simple terms they are easy to follow as well. So once again Thank you.

These are great vids for homeowners . Next thing you know they go to buy all the tools needed and realize how much everything costs to get these things done . For example , blades , fasteners , trips to the store , set up , demo , remove the demo , all takes time ...more than most know . Who s with me ? Anyone who does remodeling or anything knows there s a lot of things to consider , especially when the homeowner is asking for something ridiculous

Leah, I'd like to thank you for your time and for making this video. I've learned quite a bit from you. Could you please do a video on making half lap joints using a router?! Or maybe building a jig to do half laps using a router. Since I don't have the room for a table saw I'll have to learn how to do them using a router. Thanks for your time and for taking the time for making your videos! 👍😉

Leah! Just found your channel, and I’m hooked with your methodology for instruction. Some of these woodworking channels mean well, but for a novice when they throw around terms without explaining them... Well, it makes my eyes go cross! That wasn’t the case here. I have a jig i made at home for my router, it's perfect for stuff like this. Just make the reference lines, then line the jig up and use your router like a planer, inching down a pass at a time. But it's always great to show different approaches to the same result with different tools. Never know when you'll be shorthanded of a specialized tool :)
