Brother I learned the exact same thing. Was serving Him out of fear, but through Him am now serving Him out of love. It's the most beautiful thing ever to serve Him because of who He is, and not solely off of avoiding punishment. It's a blessing to know His goodness

I really needed to hear this. I just had freedom from years of dealing with a religious spirit towards myself & it choked me so much, i was around pastors who havent been through their life to come to say such things. i couldnt be a witness to people because i didnt believe in my heart God loved me and everything i tried to do in obedience was stunted & it made a limbo cycle that put me a dark place. thank you for saying all of this. Thanks you i neede that Praise God i am going through hard time this week. I have a job a house parents etc Praise God But what i long for is for a relationship with Jesus. I want him to talk to me i want to be with him i want to please him i want to sin less and less. I don't want this World anymore i don't want to fear humans anymore not want to be ashamed of Jesus (How can i be ashamed of Jesus he loved me so much it make me cry almost right now) Sometimes i feel sad and like i will begin to cry when im at my work Im done hearing people backbiting each others mocking each others. I Don't know if im saved because i have not the Baptism of the Holy Spirit but i want it Im not even baptized of water (only when baby) i dont' know if im saved because i don't have both baptism. But i still want to serve God i want to Praise him and read his Word All glory to Jesus Christ the Lamb of God thanks you Jesus Christ for the blood you shed on the Cross thanks you for all you did for me and will do amen

Hey @neortik7 if your trusting alone in Jesus you are saved baptism doesn't save you Jesus does. we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone God wants you to repent and place your faith in Jesus trust what he did for you not what you do the moment you do that God promises to forgive you and save you trust in Jesus alone.
