Nick Estes did an amazing job of breaking down the film and separately explaining what really happened. And im with Renee... I'm doing the same thing. Watch, dig up names, then rewatch the interview.

No worries Renee on the study group mention. I’m already cataloged in the dissident database at this point, nothing for me to hide lol.

I don't think that the owness lies with us. it's like, I know snuff films exist. I know that they're popular with a certain demographic & have always been. I have come into contact with snuff films & everytime I choose not to engage. I know that's not gonna change the popularity of snuff films. but I also know that engaging in snuff films always negatively effects Human Beings. 100 times outta 100. me not watchin' 'em is not gonna make 'em less popular but it won't do damage to me. & a few people take what I say & do to heart & it effects them how I engage with The World. some things are just personal like my McDonanlds boycott. you can't do that in my face & have me not loathe you for Life, but that's a me thing (them & Starbucks is goin' through it financially 'cause of BDS. Coke too, but that's anotha thread...). but the owness thing? yeah, it's probably like how I view snuff films. Love everything about this show.

Appreciate the comment and solidarity against oppression and civil rights violations, as well as speaking up for self-care. Please permit me to correct the spelling of "oweness"...it should be onus. Everything else was great.

Thank yall for doing the work you guys do, it’s greatly appreciated. I’m fairly new to leftist spaces so I’ve been trying to read more literature around it. Is it possible for you guys to make a reading list or suggest some authors to begin with?
@reneecj19 күн бұрын
Can you give me more of a sense of what you want to start with? Political ideology? Radical thought? I don't want to give you stuff that won't be what you are looking for...
@WillieEarlSon19 күн бұрын
@ political ideology or even anything on how U.S. interference in foreign affairs directly impacts us here.
@reneecj19 күн бұрын
@@WillieEarlSon Socialist Reconstruction is a good one, this is my political bend, so I like to suggest it... Dr. Richard Wolff has multiple books that break down the economic systems, which can help with getting some understanding of foreign affairs... confessions of an economic hitman can explain a lot about the hidden work of the US in foreign countries... I've got so many thoughts, but this is also something that's been requested and he BLMedia collective should be pulling a reading list together... I hope this helps!
@WillieEarlSon19 күн бұрын
@ yes ma’am. I have the confessions of an economic hitman saved on a reading list so I’ll start there. Appreciate the recommendations.

I did enjoyed watching this series. We have zero problem watching trashy series with their caucasian main characters, but we make a big fuzz criticizing series whose main characters are black.
@anji_j20 күн бұрын
- The point is whether it is a trashy yt series, or one with blk characters, you need to be aware of what the media is feeding you.
@theworkerhours314119 күн бұрын
@@anji_j I got it. But I don't see the same energy when we blacks watch white series.
@anji_j19 күн бұрын
@@theworkerhours3141 - I think that is because the white series is what we are expected to consume. When they reinvent that with blk characters and blk series, we are expected to believe this is an upgrade; that we have finally made it into the white gaze.
