Imagine you’ve enjoyed a successful career in TV journalism anchoring newscasts, hosting a popular show on HGTV, and working for ESPN, but you’ve grown weary of the gloom and doom of the daily news blotter.
What do you do?
Jump onto KZbin and create your own reality of parody songs, zaniness and good cheer. Or at least that’s what Penn Holderness did, making it a family affair with his wife and kids, sharing their abundant love and a good time with the world.
And Penn also shares something else: his journey with ADHD. With videos leavened with his trademark zaniness, he teaches the Holderness Family’s 4.5 million followers, as his viral video song, ADHD “under the sea” parody, trumpets, that ADHD could be a real superpower.
Senior correspondent David DeJohn has the story.

I love the Holderness family and as a parent of a child with ADHD I love seeing how Penn has found a job that takes advantage of his creativity and energy.

Its so interesting seeing these. As a girl with ADHD, I didn't have much of the H. I daydreamed in school. Without medication it is like living in a literal fog. Everything seem blurry

Great interview, I think. Really, I was looking at the watermelons on either side of his head and missed the whole thing. ADHD, age 66.

I was diagnosed with adhd at age 54. I ahould have picked up the fact that I always had adhd because I was referred to as the absentminded professor as well as space cadet and loopy.

I absolutely never put stuff on top of the car. I put stuff down on the ground or concrete, at my feet. Much higher survival rate.
