A beautiful little movie by the Dreaming Jaguars about DMT (N,N,-dimethyltryptamine) and its potential as a tool for exploring hidden dimensions of reality and for communicating with the awaiting intelligences that reside therein.

One can spend his or her entire life making an effort to express the impressions received during the DMT flash, whether through language or through other forms of art. The strange beauty of it will always slip through the fingers of the artist but the effort to communicate what you have beheld in and of itself is also quite beautiful.

This is the most exciting development in the realm of psychedelic research. I read Strassman's 'Spirit Molecule' back in 2010 or so after encountering N,N-DMT for the first time. I am EXTREMELY interested to hear how and to what degree does the experience "stabilize" as they mention. I began to think about what I thought might happen during an extended stay and realized that NOBODY KNOWS, lololol! I'm right there with you guys, I'll be keeping an eye on the DMTx research and will contribute in any way that I am able!

Dreaming Jaguars are some of the very few who actually attempt to convey the crux of the experience, and the reasons behind its compelling and extraordinary nature. Most people irritate me when they speak about it, they rarely confide anything more than what a chemist could, or someone with only secondary knowledge.

Great little documentary! I am convinced that solid research into the DMT-state is one of the most important scientific endeavours which is the key to consciousness. 27:28 Being in the DMT state for 24 hours? I hope nobody ever tries this, sounds like a horrible idea to me :D But I guess this is not the real plan of the upcoming/current studies about the extended DMT-state and the phases are way shorter and will stay shorter for a pretty long time. Which timespan are you looking into?
@AlienInsect

Sure, 24 hours is not being considered by anyone at the moment -- this is just a hypothetical possibility. I think the Imperial team are running to ~30 mins at the moment.

Our brains aren't "creating the DMT reality", DMT allows us to temporarily free ourselves from our body so we shift into a very real spiritual dimension. Science has to come to terms with the reality of Spirit.

It seems entirely possible that if memories just aren't being formed, extending the experience wouldn't change that. (Any more than spending longer under anaesthesia, or a night of dreaming.) I would hope that's not the case as bringing something (more) back is always the aspiration, but we will see. If I am right about that, I then wonder what other methods could exist to stimulate coherent memory formation during heavy trips. Perhaps there is something we can learn from remembered dreams, or future technology to directly stimulate the hippocampus or other relevant brain structures. What a time to be alive, and die before we die. 🙃
@AlienInsect
@AlienInsect 3 жыл бұрын
Memory formation is complex and affected by many factors, including the shock factor, disorientation, and the lack of any points of reference. I expect stabilisation of the state over time as the brain becomes more comfortable in constructing the space, as well as the emotional acclimitisation. This should make memory formation more efficient. However, we need not rely on memory alone, since real-time communication between the subject and the team on the outside will be the way to go. You'd never rely on memory alone with *any* kind of expedition with a scientific imperative.

You have to learn to lucid dream, then you can bring much more memory back from the experience. Same with NDEs and OBEs

I'm scared to take dmt. I'd like at least one human to give me a technique not to stumble upon malevolent entities (I'm thinking of Hancock's "you are ours now" kind of ambience lol) I need a better "cartography" of the dmt space than what's currently available. Is there a reliable possibility of orienting oneself during the first trips? I don't know like a focusing technique, mantra or whatever. I'd like to avoid being hyperspatially dismantled, raped and eaten, even if I don't remember it. What is the determinant of the "destination"/ reality channel in which one gets to ?

You have to confront the dark to realize you are the light! Remember, fear is the mind killer. Work on keeping a high vibrational state in your daily life, when you're able to not let others energies entrain your own, then you can keep a positive vibration in the spirit realm.
@xenomyr
@xenomyr Жыл бұрын
@@jimywebb23 I agree that fear is the mind killer but at the same time it can be justified in certain situations. I am probably going to todo it at some point, but for now I am going to wait on getting more scientific data. Because currently I am not conviced by the DMT-users community. There is too much variability in the interpretations and not enough serious scientific research. I think there is already enough mystery in this universe, on this planet for me to ponder about. I would be interested by your interpretation of the phenomena btw.
@jimywebb23
@jimywebb23 Жыл бұрын
@@xenomyr just like with lucid dreaming, or self initiated OBEs, fear has a major impact on the experience. If you can just relax and go with the experience it will be much smoother than freaking out and fighting against it. Our thoughts are powerful and co-create reality. It would be helpful to work on a centering technique that you can use during stressful situations to ground yourself in love/positive energy.

I'm a bit leery about what we're contacting on DMT. We have no idea what any of them are and what they're motivated by. On the positive side if they're not malevolent and the more you use the more time stretches out assuming you can learn while bringing back information it's a great opportunity. If an 8 hour DMT trip feels like a decade imagine what you could learn in that decade. However, if they are malevolent or some of them are and they become aware of what we're doing it's possible to be stuck being tormented for 1000 years. I'm hoping they're not though. If we find out that the DMT space is real and not just in your head I think we've found our first example of spiritual technology. We're rapidly approaching direct neural interface with computers and AI becoming scary powerful. I've been saying we'd be better served with a spiritual direction than a technological one.
@AlienInsect
@AlienInsect Жыл бұрын
Negative entities do feature in DMT trip reports but they're relatively rare compared to positive encounters. Actively malicious entities are even rarer. Also, users generally report a sense of timelessness rather than an actual feeling that they were there for 10 years. Of course, extended "expeditions" should always follow extensive training and experience in the DMT space. I would also advise the development of a "kill switch": some kind of signal or other technique for either switching off the pump or at least alerting the supervising team that you want out. But, again, it will take training for this to be workable during a breakthrough experience, but it's certainly possible.

I'd love to hear your opinion on psilocybin and heroic doses. As I've had a "dmt experience" from a heroic dose
@AlienInsect
@AlienInsect 3 жыл бұрын
Psilocin and DMT are structurally (and pharmacologically) very similar, so it's not surprising that heroic doses of psilocybin sometimes grant access to the same kind of spaces that DMT does. I hear this quite a lot. However, heroic doses of psilocybin don't offer any kind of control over the level of molecule in the brain -- with the extended state DMT protocol, the subject can be brought in and out of the state in short order. Not so with psilocybin.

It makes adaptive sense that the mind would generate the sense of witnessing conscious agency under various circumstances. Could it be that under the intense hyper real experience of a DMT trip; this tendency is amplified? This might account for why all constructs within the imagination, take on the appearance of intelligent entities

I wonder how subject can say stop when using target- controlled intravenous infusion, is there mechanism that works ? Is it even possible to interact with here to press a button when in breakthrough? Or does Imperial Collage does fixed time for now ?

Imperial uses a fixed time. 30 mins I think at the moment. Can be adjusted to any length of time of course. But it’s not out of the question for there to be a button to abort the mission so to speak. Might take some training though to use safely.

Hum, what is the purpose of this video? I have been hearing about extended state DMT for 4 years. It continues to be positioned as something of the future. I think not. Certainly this technology has been actively explored for many years. Why the illusion? Why the misdirection? What has been learned?
@AlienInsect
@AlienInsect 3 жыл бұрын
Hum, why the negativity? The extended-state DMT technology, using target-controlled intravenous infusion has *not* been actively explored for many years. The first model was only published in 2016 (by myself and Strassman) and the first study in human subjects has only just begun at Imperial College, with the results published in due course. No illusion, no misdirection. The potential of the technology remains firmly in the future.
