For over 50 years Bill Valavanis has focused his energy on one thing: The art of growing bonsai trees. Refining trees to a Utopian state is an art that dates back hundreds of years. It combines many intricate facets such as horticulture, chemistry, and vision to create a living masterpiece which will evolve over many decades... if we are lucky.
This brief documentary allows you to see what Bill experiences in his travels as one of today's top bonsai artists. We follow Bill through a beautiful two week trip to Japan and then touch on some of the other amazing countries he visited during his 2017 bonsai tour. Bill moves fast... but that's what it takes when you are relentless in your pursuit of perfection.
