And he with anger at her but for an entirely different reason but also with confusion because he doesn’t have context (yet) as to why she’s behaving like this, so differently from what he knew of her. You can see the years of non communication between them with their acting. Brilliantly done.

His face expressions when first meeting her again was surprised, then disappointment thinking she was smoking, a small glint of anger and finally confusion. Her facial expression went from being surprised to be annoyed then to sadness because he said she will always be a kid and finally a guarded look when rejecting him. She wasn't simply shy. She had decided two years earlier that he'd never see her like anything more than a little girl, so she made herself give up on him. Meeting him here, out of the blue, when she's a university student, and he's still treating her like a child, only bitterly reconfirms her decision. So she wants to stay away from him, like she decided years before. EDIT: I just found the answer somewhere else. It's for "green flag", isn't it? There had to be a reason I liked this word! And I totally agree. Finally a drama where one can relate without goint into dark, toxic stuff.

You can see how sang zhi was still hurt even though it's been 2 years when she saw him. Than quickly turning on her protective mood so that she doesn't get hurt again. Answering every single question of him and also insulting him when he mentioned that age difference clearly shows how hurt and insecure she was about that. Also him noticing how much she changed or she made her distanced herself from him or how sad he became about all this sudden information is so good. In manhua or the novel these emotions were not very highlighted as she was very shocked with her meeting him for the first time after 2 years was a big thing. But in the drama ig they wanted to make it more real or how you would act in real life. Overall it's good! I am more impressed with the actor's acting. It's really something new. I didn't like it that much of the actress cause I always saw her acting in these types of characters so it wasn't new for me.

He doesn’t know it. He’s just angry that she didn’t keep in touch with him for 2 years while he tried to reach out to her multiple times. It’s a little later that he starts catching a semblance of feelings for her, isn’t sure how to proceed, but by then he knows she likes someone (drunken admission). He hates the idea of her liking someone else and has no clue it’s him until his college friend points it out to him. 😂 The grade 11 thing is where she conveniently covers up her crush by telling everyone that she’s dating online. And his anger at her visiting him when she’s in grade 11 (under the garb of meeting her “online bf”) is because he’s concerned for her safety. Because he thinks she’s traveled alone to meet some stranger/online bf. I have seen some people misconstrue his anger as jealousy in that airport scene but it actually isn’t. His anger is coming from a place of concern for her. Because he’s always cared for her since she was a kid. But it’s always been platonic. It’s only after years later when he sees she’s willing to go to war for him, with no provocation for her to do so from his end, he starts to catch feelings.
