Really good vid Mr Soup...how about adding a 'Want to know more?' section to the description...you know maybe what would be a good introductory book, or other KZbin creators who specialise in the area you're covering.

Hello. There are a few books which I could recommend. Though, frankly, the technological aspects of the topic move so quickly, those books are a little out-dated. Mick Aston's book is a timeless place to start though! It explores lots of older and hands-on techniques which are universally applicable and achievable without expensive software. Landscape Archaeology and GIS is worth a read if you can get an inexpensive copy, though that is a step more specialised. There's also Unravelling The Landscape: Inquisitive Approach To Archaeology There's a good lecture on KZbin here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6ick2qElMaXeqM And a more recent Stuart Ainsworth talk here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJ2unqWKpb96g9k I would also recommend that you keep an eye out for MOOCs which from time to time are available free online. Hope this is helpful?, Cheers!

Google maps and drones must simplify and reduce the cost of top down viewing the landscape

True. It would be neat if archaeologists built an AI to scan Google Maps data and announce previously unknown sites by their contours.
