Hello. There are a few books which I could recommend. Though, frankly, the technological aspects of the topic move so quickly, those books are a little out-dated. Mick Aston's book is a timeless place to start though! It explores lots of older and hands-on techniques which are universally applicable and achievable without expensive software. Landscape Archaeology and GIS is worth a read if you can get an inexpensive copy, though that is a step more specialised. True. It would be neat if archaeologists built an AI to scan Google Maps data and announce previously unknown sites by their contours.
