In this conversation with a16z general partner David George, Scale AI founder and CEO Alexandr Wang discusses the three pillars of AI-models, compute, and data-and how creating abundant data is core to the evolution of gen AI. With Scale’s work across enterprise, automotive, and the public sector, Alex is also building the critical infrastructure that will allow any organization to use their proprietary data to build bespoke gen AI applications. In addition to talking about frontier data, Alex also shares his learnings from the growth of Scale, his approach to leadership, and what he thinks growth-stage founder/CEOs tend to get wrong about hiring.

When he mentions that companies can drive efficiencies to make up for investing into AI, he really means laying people off lol

There is a massive Class Action lawsuit with hundreds of plaintiffs from countries around the globe upcoming. They even have an own website. Furthermore, it seems they can prove wire fraud in thousands of cases and racketeering according to RICO as two of their major clients and at least one funding partner is involved. The forums are full.

@@sppcc2006I can't post links here, but you can google ‘SCALE AI CLASS ACTION’ and you will find the website within the first five results. It came online recently. I suppose they have left too much scorched earth. Bad news for the investors.

The models need to learn from the Data they have, aka memory. This can be done by breaking down and finding the root of good results of a prompt

Now, exactly how does this young man treat his employees??? How does this young man treat the target audience??? As it’s been said, if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu! The American people appear to be on the menu here.

Correct. And not a single mention of the sweatshops he runs and the exploitation of overseas workers to generate his data. See the Washington Post expose, Behind the AI boom, an army of overseas workers in ‘digital sweatshops’, published last year.
