Your doing a good job with that drain it’s a bit of a mystery where it. actually goes I always think it’s very satisfying when you get water to actually go somewhere it’s been a long. Time since it was. Drained never seen tiles as. Old if you can get it going it will make a big difference to drying that field up It’s been a decent day today actually dried up a bit Your grain is doing well under the circumstances just need some good dry weather Arnt these Tractor. Agreed, I fully appreciate there is global warming, but its not just that, the UK waterways is a shambles from lazy councils and lazy landowners not keeping drainage clear. There are more flood plains being developed on constantly everywhere. Water needs a place to go, it's as simple as that. Tom Pemberton has also done a great video outlining the flooding issues, worth a watch.

Which hopefully by you showing the issues it causes will help any non farmers of the channel understand why rivers and watercourses need maintenance to keep the water moving. Drains can be a can of worms, unless someone has been very forward thinking and mapped them out on paper every time theyve added to the drains then it turnes into a lucky dip if you find what you need. Its always good when you do fix it though.

For myself I wasn't out today but still made 110% by learning how to do calzones. If your team like pizza, calzones have all the advantages of pizza plus they're easier to eat on the move and stay hot longer!
