Hi Olly, this fickle weather is making it hard work, son did a round of our winter wheat starting 6:30 pm ish, but came in at 17%, need 15 so we don't have to dry it. Dew already on the lawn. Take care and thanks, as always fore the vlogs. 90% today, had the day to myself, which I love.

Easy done hitting a hidden manhole cover, I once wrote off a Claas drum mower by hitting a very proud manhole in a cuctomers field when I was contracting. You would think farmers would mark them if using contractors. Shame about the weather, best day we have had for ages down here in Somerset. Have you ordered the side guard for the header yet, would be interested to know the cost. See ya tomorrow.

Always have some gafffer tape & silicon in the granary it's surprising how abrasive grain is when it's moved about and the smallest hole can cause a big mess if not noticed

*novice question*- what are reasons for the different wheels on the front of the combine?
@valfahr1263 жыл бұрын
i think it is for the weight of the header but i am no farmer either
@hb_chippy71663 жыл бұрын
It is to help spread the weight of the combine over a bigger area so the soil does not get too compacted. Farmers can get a penalty if the ground is compacted above a certain level or %.

We have tended to follow the UK rules and regulations normally about 10 years later although we can still burn stubble. Now our stupid government is obsessed with water quality and nitrogen capping is coming. Dairy farms are already limited to 190 kgs/ha per annum. Sick of being told what you can do with your own land.
