Da bin ich wieder! Ich möchte dich was fragen. to tidy room = _das Zimmer aufräumen_ or _auf das Zimmer räumen_ ? I mean do we separate the prefix or not while forming a chunk with a noun. I would be grateful if you could help me to understand. Tschüss!

Hallo Yigitcan, you learn it as "das Zimmer aufräumen". Only in the sentence, you separate the prefix and put it at the end of the sentence. For example: Ich räume mein Zimmer auf.

Können Sie mir helfen? Ich habe der Satz 'Gefällt dir das Auto' in einem Buch gesehen Why it's not like _Gefällt das Auto dir_ ? Shouldn't we use subjects after verbs in questions.so Subject ist das Auto, which pleases you- doing the action.- I really appreciate it.

What you said is right for the most cases. This is actually a great question and a pretty advanced one too. To be honest I never asked myself this question. I just learned the way it is. "Gefällt dir das Auto?" is the correct one and the explanation is that pronoun comes before noun. "Gefällt es dir?" Here the subject "es" is after the verb like you said. In this question there are two pronouns. The one which is the subject is before the dative object (dir). Hope I could explain it well ☺️

Hello, and thank you for the wonderful videos! I wanted to know - do you have any videos that explain more about how to identify which nouns are the different cases in more complex sentences? I have just started B1 and it still confuses me, so I'm trying to go back to A2. Even in the sentence in this video "Am Wochenende ist Jakob seiner Ex-Freundin im Park begegnet" - The verb "begegnen" is dativ but how do I know the noun 'seine Ex-Freundin" is the one to make dativ? How do I know that the noun isn't "Park"? In this sentence, "im Park" is also Dativ" - so it's a bit confusing as to what is Dativ and what is Akkusativ. The same with the sentence "Bitte folgen Sie der Wegbeschreibung!" > I know that you use "Sie" after "folgen" because it's Dativ - but why are we also changing "die Wegbeschreibung!"? I thought the dativ verb only changes one noun? Do you have any videos that explain this more? Thank you so much!

Dativ or Akkusativ, it goes with the verb. For the first example, the verb "begegnen" requires a dativ object which could be a person or a thing. "Im (dat) Park" is basically the information about "wo", has nothing to do with "begnegnen". "Folgen" also requires a direct dativ object, which could be a person or a thing. "Sie" was not dativ.
