It's a very nice tutorial. but why don't you just use the amplitude(the coefficient) to find the max and min instead of going through this long process..

This is how we have to do it for our exams! I don't know why, but that is the only way to get the marks for CCEA

Could you do one with cosine graph instead of sine? What is the difference

It will be a slightly different formula with cos instead of sin! Rcos(a-x) instead of Rsin(a+x)
