@@UlrikBrun-ir7mh A2A are gods at what they do, PMDG is very detailed as well, and running just the 777 was hard with all the systems to do in 32 bit. I bet when they (PMDG) make their next aircraft they will be able to model flight characteristics better with the infinite ram they have access to now in 64 bit.
@SebastianWoodard4 жыл бұрын
@@UlrikBrun-ir7mh I mean, VRS is acrtually pretty good as is PMDG. They could do some thing better, yes.

I love these videos about the Connie. This one is particularly good and you can hear your love aviation and the Constellation in your voice. I was Crew Chief of the RC-121D Super Constellation, Tail # 03-0552 now on display at Tinker AFB from 1963 to 1965. I noticed in this video that the engine start procedure is a little off. Engine #3 was started first because it had 2 DC generators. The engine had to turn through a certain number of blades to check for liquid lock before the mag switch was turned on (by the co-pilot) and once the mag was on, the engineer would feed in mixture very slowly allowing the engine receive a richer and richer mixture of fuel and air until it started. Once the engine was running smoothly the engineer would go to "full rich" on the mixture control for that engine. Primer was only used in extremely cold weather the get the engine running.

I love how you can always hear your passion for flight in your videos; They feel more like love letters to aviation than product showcases.
@ShockwaveProd7 жыл бұрын
A project without passion isnt one we would ever produce. Glad you like the video and hope you enjoy the simulation upon release.
@wraith4447 жыл бұрын
I have no doubt that I will! Right now the challenge for me is remembering to switch back and forth between the accusim planes I already own so I don't damage anything by leaving one un-flown for too long... I really need to learn the correct way to store a plane long-term so I can spend a couple months really putting some energy into learning the Comanche through and through and not leave the Cherokee to rot.

Captain, how soon can you land? I can't tell. You can tell me. I'm a doctor. No. I mean I'm just not sure. Well, can't you take a guess? Well, not for another two hours. You can't take a guess for another two hours?

A great choice to model! We have a Connie here in KC. Just love her lines. I've heard a lot of good things about how this all works together with the 377 for years. I'm looking forward to the next incarnation of the modeling of the flight engineer tasks.
@mach0377 жыл бұрын
Only improvement needed is that during the gear retraction cycle the right main gear drops back down about 3/4 before coming up at the end of the cycle. This happened on every Connie takeoff I watched, and I watched hundreds. But I'm going to buy this anyway.

It would've been enough for you guys to simply create a detailed simulation of the aircraft, but what I love is that you've clearly gone the extra mile to also try and capture the experience of what it must have been like to captain these aircraft back in the day. Superb stuff - both the history buff and the flight simmer in me are scrambling for their wallets! ;)

The Captain of the Ship technology has a bit of a cult following with our B377 Captain of the Ship simulation, it moves forward and to a new aircraft with our 049 Constellation simulation.

The Constellation is one of the most prestigious models I have in FSX. At first I was wondering why the engines weren't wanting to cooperate but I found on the day this comment was posted in fact that the carburetor vapor return was on I tried that and now the engines run as smooth as butter. Well done on this product. I hope you make a B-29 and DC-7/6 in the future. Happy flying.

The amount of care A2A puts into their aircraft never ceases to amaze me, especially given the limitations of the software they develop for. Take 9:57 for instance. You're not even there, but you can literally see and almost feel how heavy the controls are getting, and watch the plane buffet as it starts to stall. That's the level of detail they never cease to amaze me with.

Wow! I'm a professional producer (TV and Commercials) and I'm seriously impressed by the level of this promo! It's perfect mostly in its narrative, then the edit flow is graceful, the text authoritative but gentle and competent, the voice over assertive and a dreamer ;-) very nice, congratulations. I'm not a usual commentator or easily impressed. Now, let's face the hard reality. I can't go back to MSFS/Prepar3d. I'm on X-Plane for some years now, and once you are there you can't go back to FSX, or similar. You must tell me that you are planning to publish this beauty for X-Plane, please? Please, follow PMDG example publishing the glorious DC6. Again, congratulation for the model and for the promo!
