Hi Dean Z! I’d love to hear more about “non-traditional” career-pivot submissions. I’m pivoting from Social Work into law and currently applying to law schools. Your insight is appreciated! Thanks entirely! Jannelle

Thank you for this, I’m a low GPA higher LSAT but still below median applicant. Can you please do a video on application submission timing and how it affects decisions and scholarships?

Thank you for these videos! When doing the “why X law school?” essay, is it okay to name drop specific faculty or should we refrain from naming them?

Can you do a video on the 4.3 LSAC gpa max when sooo many schools don’t give A+’s thus disadvantaging a lot of students ?

Unfortunately, I don’t have enough information to say anything too meaningful here. For one thing, I am unaware of any source of data about how many schools don’t give A+ grades. (Please tell me if you have some good source! I’d love to see it.) Likewise, I don’t have any data about how many law school applicants get A+ grades, so I don’t know that the differing school policies are disadvantaging a lot of students. And along those lines, even if we knew both of those bits of information, it doesn’t follow that a given applicant who is at a school where no A+ grades are given would have actually gotten A+ grades if the policy were different. Bottom-line, I truly wouldn’t get hung up on the possibility that, say, with a different system, you could have had six credits out of 120 that were worth .3 more. For those readers who are interested in a deep dive on how LSAC standardizes the nation’s myriad grading systems in an effort to make admissions officers better at their jobs, here’s where to start: www.lsac.org/applying-law-school/jd-application-process/cas/requesting/transcript-summarization

Hi Dean Z! (Or Michigan Law team members) I was wondering if you could talk about using the GRE to apply to law school? I know that Michigan does not accept the GRE but getting any info from Dean Z on the subject would be so helpful!
