I was facing exactly same issue in my i20 2016 diesel. Got the accelerator paddle changed 2 days back. I was facing power lag at speed above 100kmph. Will soon take it on highway and check. Very nice video.

This sensor using carbon resistive tracks. Switch cleaner is specially designed for cleaning the metal contacts, it doesn't leave any lubricant residue. For this type of non metalic contacts WD40 is the best option that leaves some lubricantive residue. However the cleaning of carbon tracks resistance does not extend the life much longer, in automobile it is preferable to replace it by a new one to ensure longer life and user safety. this gives you an indication of the loot by OEM's, That pedal has nothing but a small IC without any major SMD components either and the pedal costs 6.5K, It does not look worth mode than 500 rupees.

Hi, I have a santro xing 2006 model. Recently, actuator idle sensor got , crack and making some gas leak sound and enginee rmp also rising high, ac not working properly. Mileage became worse. I have replaced with OEM spare parts which brough from the old scrap market. Now all the above issues are fixed. Now i found some LAG in car performance. It is not picking up in high gear. While i am at 100kms if any speed breaker if i slow down, car is not raising in 4th or 5th. What could be the problem. Please advice.

As per my understanding this is a rheostat ( resistance ) . Resistance week ho jayega to apka electrical signal will be varry karega.. may be this is the problem with this sensor
