Now that I've seen the Vatican, The Chinese Emperor's Forbidden Palace, The Versailles and Saint Petersburg, this 1925 architecture looks hideous. It looks as if the artists we're falling all over themselves, rushing to prove they were modern just to prove a point for the show. The Russian pavilion is horrible. Russian artists are so much more tallented than this. They still used animal furs for the bed, which is not exactly expressing care and concern for the animals wellbeing. What is modern? Why didn't they define Modern? Shouldn't modern be about challenging our historical abuse of people and animals that can't defend themselves? Shouldn't modern be about doing justice to the poor? Creating equality for all? Despite all my complaints, I appreciate being able to view the video.
