Okay, for those of you who have never gone through Inflight Training: 1. This is a mashup of several videos. 2. The live "demo" is comprised either of trainees, or a group of inflight safety trainers who are doing a simulation and what is called a "drill" 3. They are preforming from an "Emergency Landing Checklist" this list is read from verbatim and covers all situations. 4. In a prepared emergency landing (thats what this video is - it is a prepared EL, hence the ELC cards) you will almost always brace. 5. A fire in the forward hold whether real or not, could present in forward landing gear failure if there is a real fire and it breached hydraulic lines or anything at all down there, the aircraft may likely A. Not Stop due to brake loss, or B. Gear failure/collapse. the BRACE commands are repetitive and necessary in case you end up i na situation. 6. the BRACE position places your body in the position it will be THROWN in, in a sudden deceleration, lessening the strain to your body parts. 7. YES, the video is FAKE because it is comprised of training videos. 8. NO This is not a 737/A320 it is a mockup cabin trainer. One I used recently had a widebody interior, and featured Airbus over wing exit windows, 767 door, 747 door, Airbus door. All in one cabin. This particular sim/cabin trainer has the doors and equipment of multiple AC types. 9. Repetition is necessary it is not a waste of time, it is to make sure ALL crewmembers are on the same page and took in the correct information. You don't want two crew in the front preparing for land, and two in the back preparing for water. PARROTING is a tried and true effective form of CRM (Crew Resource Management) 10. I have trained for THREE airlines in Canada. All three had different steps and different commands but all with the same end result, and although th verbal shouted commands were different for each airline, the landing checklist was almost identical.

ok, imagine if this was an a380 are they going to get all 32 members of the crew to repeat the same information, and at the start they taught you how to disarm the door of a a320 and in the scenario the cockpit and doors are of a b737, and why do the guys care how you are going to undo your harness
@kaseymaitland67357 жыл бұрын
Oliver Pateras if the crew member is dead or incapacitated on impact then the passengers have been instructed on how to remove the crew member from their harness. They will block the exit and prevent others escaping if not. This training facility will represent various aircraft types. That's the point. It's for training.
@boujeeaf23186 жыл бұрын
Ollie Pateras When theirs is an emergency landing of let's say and A380 the lead Cabin crew will have the phone that sends messages to other like a call and their one at each flight attendant seats and if they don't have one for each one they will say it to each other that's sitting next to the m and also they way the jump seat is position whilst it's in the folded put position for sitting and it may block the door also it's to save a life.

+thatsfabulous It's a Boeing simulator yes it doesn't matter about the crew I've been on 737's with EasyJet with 4 crew before they changed to Airbus. All airlines have a minimum of 3 maximum of 5 but 4 crew members make it easier with the on-board service . I was on a 737-800 with Jet2.com last week and that was 4 crew. Also everything in that cabin was for a 737 not an Airbus aircraft, the cabin and especially the doors showed it was Boeing. So you're right

My training was never this dramatic. Like why is she telling the two passengers how she opens her harness and the steps to opening the door. She just needs to say, hold people back. Once at the bottom help them off the slide. Such nonsense in this video. I have worked for three airlines and this video is ridiculous. No wonder passengers don't listen in emergency situations.

Even if your comment was 2 years ago - The armes locked is the normal Take-Off/Landing position for Easyjet, as they brace with their hands on top of the head, like airbus recommends it.

So if a fire is burning in the cargo hold they have to waste time repeating a message three times
@cukimae8 жыл бұрын
Vacuumer100 the cargo compartment actually has it own fire extinguisher, but the emergency landing made to prevent any unwanted situations happening. repeating the briefing and synchronize watch is to ensure the crew have same perception towards the situation as long as they have a sufficient time to do all the preparation, this is what called as prepared emergency.
