A32nx Full Flight Tutorial | EGLL-EHAM

After a year in the MSFS, mostly flying GA, I've finally decided to get a little more familiar with the A32nx and perhaps also with the CRJ I purchased some time ago. I've been watching a few tutorials on the A32nx over the past few months. This one is just my cup of tea. Finally I found my favorite "flight instructor" ;) Calm and to the point. Thank you! I have to browse through the rest of your videos and I'll be keeping a close eye on your channel for any new content. Keep it up!

I think you can see the flight plan on the ND even before the ADIRS are aligned. Just toggle to Plan on the ND selector.

Great vid but on your departure RAD/NAV input you put course 244 to the BPK VOR. That's not correct. 244 is the radial, the course towards the VOR is actually the reciprocal of 244, which is 64 degrees...

Thank you for all the videos! But how do you sync the flight plan in MCDU in order to interact with the default ATC in MSFS? Also, do you think one should get an ATC addon, like BeyondATC?

I've never used default atc I find it awful. Beyond ATC is better but not perfect

So if I use simbrief and just put EGLL to EHAM add a cost Index and an altitude ad use what it plans out as it adds the BPK47 from EGLL and ads the REDF1A to EHAM

You should connect your simbrief account to the a32nx via the flypad then you can input your simbrief flight plan directly to the mcdu. That way the whole route will be in the mcdu except the sids and stars.

Question thats confusing the hell out of me. i am trying to learn how to fly this thing and I have copied exactly what your doing and my radar is showing weird loops its doing. I also dont get the load but for fuel like you have. One thing I am not clear about is simbrief i put both egll and eham and it did the route itself which included sids and stars however when you import to sim via flypad you had to manually add these so comfunsed as to why you would import the flight with it to then add it manually am i missing something?

Not sure about the loops you mentioned but you need to input the sids and stars manually as this is how its done. The fuel is now loaded through the flypad, it has changed since this video.

Waiting for some improvement on the A330. At the moment it is still just an exterior model of the a330 using the cockpit from the A32nx. Will keep an eye on development.

Is this a bug or did I not do something right? Took off out of KEWR, was going to manually fly up until cruising altitude, but then it erased my green flight plan line and went into Heading mode. I tried going direct to the next waypoint, but it also deleted some waypoints. Anyone else have this issue? Am I not supposed to fly manually to cruising altitude without the flight plan disappear? Lol thank you!

Hey it’s me again, greetings from greece. I want to ask you something. I have a problem with my decent. When I plan my route to the destination airport and when it’s time to decent, even though the mcdu shows altitude restrictions of specific waypoints the autopilot does not fly according to it. Why is that so ? For your info I select managed altitude every time i want to decent. do you know what the problem is ? An indicator that the autopilot is holding the altitude restrictions is when the selected altitude is in the color pink, here in my example the colour is blue. can you help me out ? is there something i can do ?

Vnav hasn't been implemented yet. The a32nx won't follow altitude restrictions properly. When it does sometimes is purely down to Asobo's own implementation of a somewhat limited Vnav. For now I follow the attitude restrictions manually by setting the altitude window to the next restriction. Then once passed that waypoint I lower it to the next one and so on.

Great tutorial. I have a question, you manually select the SID and STAR, but when I get my flight plan from Simbrief they are included. Depending on the SID and STAR, the quantity of fuel would change. How do you manage this?

Shouldn't change too drastically based on a different SID and STAR you should have enough extra fuel.. Remember if you're ever flying online you may be issued a different departure or arrival than the one planned.

It means it's not recognizing your username. Try using your user ID instead. Or try type your full username with no spaces. That usually solves it.

You don't need navigragh, that's just the charts software. The airac cycle is updated when MSFS is updated.

I always just use flaps 1 for a standard take off. You can use a performance calculator if you wish but I don't bother. Flaps 1 is sufficient for most normal ops. You can use flaps 2 if you have a short runway or need to clear obstacles immediately after take off.

It's called toolbar pushback. You can get it at flightsim.to download it and put it in your community folder then you will find it on the toolbar at the top of your screen. Use that to control the ground crew and the jetway. 👍

@@kaiarbenhansen1617 I don't use any other addons with the A32nx. If you have xplane and you into Boeing I would suggest giving the zibo mod a try.
