Great review and I have to agree with your assessment that this gun does everything surprisingly well. I bought mine for birds but find it does a great job on the skeet & trap field. I have one and it’s a very nice automatic. But honestly, it’s a heavy gun and it feels like a 4X4 Post in my hands. The gun kicks like a air rifle and the operation is flawless, however the weight and the bulky for-end are not the best. 7 out of 10 for me. Thank you.

How high did your SBE3 shoot?
@andrewn.51173 жыл бұрын
@@Kennyrooo it shot basically a 95/5 split. The center concentration of the pellets was about 8 inches high and 6 inches left of where I held my front bead at 40 yards. It was the same with all the different shells I shot. My Beretta A400 xtreme plus shoots a 50/50 ~ 60/40 split at 40 yards and centered. Exactly how a shotgun should shoot.

@@Kennyrooo so I just got back my sbe3 from Bennelli. They sent a pattern test sheet and a letter on work they did. They said they adjusted the magazine barrel ring. I've had an A400 Beretta for 9 seasons now and the gun is the best shotgun I've ever hunted with, or even shot for that matter. I did however feel the need for a back up gun (So I told the wife) because I stepped on a hidden hole that caved in up to the knee (Rock Chuck) and I dropped the gun into the sand. That ended the pheasant hunt for that day (Not gun's fault). So I'd heard the new Browning Maxus II Wicked Wing was a soft recoil gun as well. As it turned out I had a group of friends and family over for a taste test between the two guns on the banks of the Snake river. I have a strong bias toward the A400, and honestly can't decide which has less recoil between it and the Maxus. The others said the Browning had just a tiny bit less recoil...maybe? All the others said the Browning was a slimmer feel to it and better fit for them, and did kill more clay for them, but I still like the fit of the A400. Maybe cause I'm more familiar with it. Both guns are in about the same price range. It all boils down to fit. I don't think a guy could go wrong with either gun.

Dream gun as of now and I want it to stay that way seems very reliable and a good overall gun I have heard trigger travel is far and the safety is weird upfront but it’s just something you have to get used to I guess I wish there was one in 16 or 20 gauge
@gadgethunter57322 жыл бұрын
Nearly 2 million shooters got along with Winchester Model 12 pumps , which had the safety in front of the trigger guard. I find it a more natural movement to push the safety off ahead of the trigger, then slide my finger back into the trigger guard. But to each their own.

One thing more, just a matter of preference. With the longer receiver on these new 3.5 magnum shotguns, why do most shooters feel they need a 28" barrel? Most of the high end guns now come with a extended choke pushing them out to 28.5". I picked up my A400 with a 26" barrel off the rack and am so glad I did. All the sighting plane a guy would ever need.
@Zach-td5mb2 жыл бұрын
Me personally, I wanna know I’m getting as much reach as I possible can. I just picked u a 28 inch version of these but I’d rather have a 30. I know the difference in muzzle velocity and patterns between a 26 and 28 or 30 is probably minimal, but if I’m trying to plug a turkey at 60 yards I wanna have all the barrel I can.
