Can you imagine how terrifying it would be to just exist in the world being that small and fragile? To be under the constant threat of being hurt or eaten? To have everything and everyone be so much bigger and stronger than you and to be totally at their mercy? To have to expend so much more energy to cover the same distance? Constant state of anxiety, cortisol arousal and existential threat. It must be utterly exhausting poor things! Add in memories of danger, abandonment, injury and actual abuse and it's little wonder these mouselike Listeners spend their lives shaking and cowering in the corner, their tiny body curled in on themselves for protection. At least Drone's about to provide some much needed care and gentleness. I'm just picturing that these speakers are all the same person and their home is ovverrun with recovering nekos, mouse people and juvenile werewolves!
