I was watching a documentary series about England beaches and it was about beaches in Devon and what a beautiful spot that is.

Brilliant. My Sister keeps going on about Sherburn cafe. Trying to get me over there. I've only ever seen a few pics of the entrance area rammed solid. Didn't know there's so much parking until this vid. Might take her up on it.

I think I'll have to bite the bullet and put the new chain on. The A63 is definitely a long and winding road and slower than the M62 but it's far more fun. Let me know when you're doing the Howden dike run. I've not been that way. On the news today they said that the motorway bridge needs new joints but that they don't make them any more. Perhaps we are abuot to be cut off :-D At high school our "houses" were named after the rivers. I was in Humber but there was Aire, Derwent and Trent too. I think they added Calder just before I left. It meant I could remember the names at least! My dad was a joiner. Used to help him occasionally fitting the big bay windows. Climbing ladders carrying a full bay between you with no way to hold on. They wouldn't allow it nowadays. Where we got "lost" was actually the planned route. I blame all the new building making it look different! That route back was the route I would have taken too :-) BTW, the old police bike was definitely not police but definitely trying to look like they were police.

When I lived at my first new house in the 1980’s we had a garage built they put the roof on using a pair of ladders today it would have to be a scaffolding job times change and it’s always more expensive, I saw the police bike with Norbert on board 🥴🤭 that Motorway bridge has been a nightmare from day one ☝️ definitely take the drone on the Howden dyke run loads of interesting views maybe a summer evening ride but it’s got to be a blue sky day for the pictures I will have to take my panniers. That first roundabout we could have gone left onto the A64 but it’s more fun going out one way and returning another 🤔👋
