I never considered that Archer required faster reaction time because it is a reaction oriented class. I started as Archer in beta and I think it made me more timid in pvp without realizing why. As an older dude, I will probably always be a bit slower that most. I plan to go melee for the first time in AAU. Looking forward to it.

@@Ev0ltion Archers are pretty gear dependent historically. It relies on you not making mistakes aswell as doing enough damage. Melee you can just rhino charge and if you have enough dps you win .

could you make a video about stats, buffs, and debuffs (status effects)? Like truly explain it, cuz archeage wiki is so bad in describing IMO, for example, "Slow: Slowed creatures have their movement speed reduced" - no shit, but for how much? Is that percentage actually a lot? How long of status effects is actually long, 3-second stun can seem long, but in some games, it's actually short. I see lots of slow/stop movement effects, could you rank them? Does skill that removes slow removes all slows or some are actually different type so they can't be removed? Or for example Charm - there is no explanation at all. How strong is tripped? Does it do any additional effects? Some games remove the ability to block if you are tripped. What about back hits? In some games back attacks are always critical, in some, they ignore armor, in some, they cannot be blocked or parried. What about a block, evade, and parry? Does block lowers the damage, or does it completely nullifies damage? Does it nullify damage but status effects can be applied? What are the basic stats thresholds? How high can you go with a critical chance, block, magic damage resistance, toughness, focus, attack speed? I see skills that give like X stats, but I do not know how good they are. Or skills which deal X damage + X% of melee/magic attack. There are just so many things that are not really explained and could help us in creating better builds, and we could better understand them.

Darkrunner, has high CDs with large bursts. So you'll be spamming less abilities for dmg and your proactive instead of reactive

attention for sea players: for most area around SG, you will get lower ping if you play EU (around 180, was 300++ years ago) compared to NA (~250). since youre looking at this video, then you might want to consider this in choosing your server.

Ive been using Exitlag, went from 210 ping down to 150-160. Plus you dont have to enter your CC details in for the trail like NoPing...

Were playing on the new server atm - As a cleric solo leveling is a bitch so really depends if youre going to have alliance buds to help. Even as an OCE alliance the biggest issue weve had is players getting split with queues and stuff

Blighter is nice. Now in PvP tanks are slow turtles that will just eat a bunch of dmg and die at the end. But for pve you'll be fine grinding or content.

I played on NA from the UK with about 90-110 Ping and people thought I had like 30. That was with SkillQueue though so it might be a little worse now. You should be totally fine.

I played prim and darkrunner on 250 ping for the first 3 years of aa without any ping service.(I was poor). Using noping does feel exactly like a kid on Christmas day its true but tbh I don't feel high ping is as bad as what people make it out to be. Most players in aa are casual and not really good pvpers so when the majority of ganking/open pvp and arenas you're not suffering because the person you're playing against isn't going to be that great.

yes, lots of classes can run shields. Generally healers and raidbreakers run shields to level out their magic or physical defence.

it depends. connection to eu is actually getting better for some western part of SEA nowadays. even better than NA. it was around 350 to games with eu servers, now its 180. meanwhile on na, its still around 250.

In some games high ping can sometimes give you an advantage if you know how to take advantage of it and this game is one of them. Same thing with BDO. You ain't killing a high ping ninja with good skill. High ping + skill can give you God mode.
