Hi congratulations, what is adjust audio time stamp and disable audio sink? I ask you this because I have tried Ottocast U2x and CarlinKit cpc200-A2A and I have a problem of degraded audio on the sound and conversation of the phone call while the voice of the Google assistant is excellent. Everything is solved by connecting the Bluetooth Smartphone directly to the car radio, while if I connect the Bluetooth Smartphone to the octacast and Carlin the audio degrades. and I leave only the wireless smarphone connection to the Octocast or Carlin device. Now I just wanted to know if this AA Wireless has the option to connect wirelessly only leaving

I have been using the AA Wireless dongle for seven months and this little device works fantastic. Does anyone know if you use a wireless charger like the magic grip will it interfere with the AA wireless dongle?

I'm getting the Android Auto update for our '19 Corolla next week. I was wondering; Where do you leave the dongle (the USB-port is in such a silly place) & how's the battery drain on the phone when using AA wirelessly?

Agree with you on the position of the USB port. Not a good place at all. And it would be great if the port itself was illuminated so you could see it in the dark! Anyway, I use a short USB cable, 0.3m (about a foot), so that the dongle can sit in the tray in front of the seat heater buttons, alongside my phone, without trailing a longer cable everywhere. As for battery drain on the phone, I tend to do local journeys mostly these days, less than an hour each time, so not noticing much battery use. If I take a long journey, two hours or more, I actually use the cable to connect the phone directly to the car, and not use the dongle, so that the phone charges. If my car had wireless phone charging (not an option in the UK), this wouldn't be an issue at all.

Good question, not actually sure if it's the car or the Nextbase dashcam that's wired in and starts when the car powers up!

No cables? You are using a usb cable to connect the device. SO what's the point of this as opposed to using a usb cable to the phone?

the point is that you only connect this device once and leave it connected but unless your are has the USB port in the glove box you still have a cable dangling around at all times.

Nothing really so far. Sometimes it doesn't start but I think that's more to do with Android Auto which does have reliabilty issues. When the power is off, the device does not use any energy as the USB port is also off.

If AAW is left connected to USB, it will start up automatically once you power up the car again.

You mean the USB port in the centre console between the front seats? That's not a data port, it only provides power to charge the device you connect to it.

Mine works fine, but one major problem, after turning off the engine the dongle still has power. Is this a known problem or is my set up wrong. The only way to remove power is to unplug the dongle which defeats the use of the dongle.

Yeah but that is your car's fault. Usb ports should be without power when you shut the car off

I tend to use Amazon Prime Music the most. Not because of anything with Spotify, just that I prefer it. I have more playlists than anywhere else. Spotify is a good service, but if I had to choose, it would be Amazon.

No, you must have AA installed on your phone that works in your car with a USB cable connection.

its all digital transmission and the audio is always transmitted via bluetooth so there should not be any difference.

I backed this project in early September 2020 so mine is one of the first batch originally scheduled for December 2020 delivery and actually delivered in March once unexpected factory and supply chain issues were resolved. It's had an OTA firmware update since them and works just fine.

No, it doesn't. Nor Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max or any other video streaming service. What AA Wireless does do is enable you to connect your phone to your car's head unit without a cable attached to the phone so you can run Android Auto, TomTom Go, etc, to display on the head unit as well as apps on your phone like Spotify, Amazon Music, KZbin Music, WhatsApp, etc. Pretty cool.
