The blonde you pointed out is Felix and is part of Danceracha, he more often raps than sings and is known to have one of the deepest voices within KPop. As someone else pointed out in the comments, they tend to have large groups namely for their diversity. In SKZ case Bang Chan (the leader) picked the members because each had something special to bring. He and Felix are quite close in general, both being from Australia.

Diversity. Each member brings something unique to the table. The larger the pool, the more creative and diverse themselves. K-pop industry is not like the US. I believe when they signed with JYP the boys were 50/50 with the company for songs, 30/70 for concerts and 50/50 for Merch. I understand they are now 70/30 for songs as they have reached some sort of milestone. Being an Idol can be a glamorous lifestyle. The boys have many sponsorships. Hyunjin is a Global Ambassador for Versace (the first Asian ever), Felix is a House Ambassador for Loui Vitton I.N. is an Ambassador for Alexander McQueen and Changbin is the face of Samsung in Korea, All lucrative side deals. We are waiting for GUCCI for LEE KNOW and Givenchy for BANG CHAN. They have been on the covers of many magazines including Vogue and Felix was just named GQ man of the year. As a group, they are with Tommy Hilfiger, Nacific and others. In the past, this included and possibly still does include Celine, Etro and others. They all write songs, they are writing and producing for other artists as well. They get paid for certain appearances. There is plenty in this game to feed them. Their approximate net worth at the moment is in excess of 50 million but no one really knows, i don't think the boys do either. In all honesty, i think that is a conservative figure. I know that they were smart and bought shares in the company when they were younger, lol. As a general rule, the Idols are all very supportive of each other and most of them are actually friends. They are forever interacting with each other at collaborative stages and Awards show. They appear on each other's Tik Toks and You Tube shorts. They perform each other's songs and dance challenges. Many were their own role models whilst growing up BTS and STRAYKIDS have respect for each other, even if their fandoms don't. I'm super impressed by what i see.

love how real you are! but the broadcast version would have been a better version to check out...its not as fan-cam-like like this one.... but gotta appreciate even with a backtrack, they still sing live

Came here to say this... the sound quality is poor on this one. The broadcast version is mich cleaner and you don't hear so damn much screaming.

As an American, I am used to regular concerts where the headliner has opening acts. Opening acts could be 1 or 2 artist and the whole concert will be only a couple of hours. Stray Kids didn't have any opening acts and they performed over 3 hours.

Ok why did I never put this together! Skz performs for the full 3+ hrs 😲 well except for the audience participation section and wardrobe change, but still, dang!

Your questions- the groups love each other, unfortunately it’s the fans that fight (fan wars). Felix with the deep voice is not the leader, but the team gives him killer parts because of his deep voice, also because of his looks he has many fans. Each of these 8 members play an important role, take one out and there would be a huge void. They can all sing, rap, dance, write, compose and produce but some excel in different areas. The leader and the two main rappers make and produce most of their music, the leader makes most beats. There 4 rappers but 2 are the main rappers. There are 2 main vocalists, and 2 main dancers where one is the dance leader and the other is the performance leader. They are still in their early 20s and have so many songs patented, the money they make from royalties, shows, album sales, and some are ambassadors to major clothing lines I wouldn’t worry about them not making enough money. Outside of their solo work, most of their songs are made to be performed by a group, they write parts specifically with each member’s voice in mind. It wouldn’t work if only one or two performed them.

Obviously since there's hundreds of idols in the industry‚ not all of them are gonna get along perfectly‚ and there might be some bad blood between people as it's natural. But the kpop industry in general is very respectful‚ especially when it comes to seniority‚ so groups or idols won't ever bring any drama or dislike to the public. So on the outside‚ to fans‚ we'll only see the friendship and respect. So you'll definitely see and hear only good things between the idols. And lot of idols have history with each other from their trainee times so they're friend even before debut. Especially Chan (the leader of stray kids) was a trainee for almost 8 years before debuting 5 years ago‚ so he has trained with many idols that debuted before him and has a LOT of friends in the industry and it's kinda of a joke with the fans that he knows everyone. Some groups that stray kids are really close to outside their own label mates are the boyz‚ ateez‚ btob‚ txt and nct to name a few. Chan is also good friends lisa from blackpink and jungkook from bts.

Stray kids is the first group that got me into kpop and my question was always why are there so many members 😂 but i'm way too used to it now that when I see a 3 people group perform im like why does the stage look so empty😬 haha

In the case of Skz, Bangchan, the leader of the group, chose his own group members, Skz was formed by Bangchan himself

The guy in the white jacket that Hyunjin is vibing with while he's rapping, and the same guy that Felix hugs a few seconds later, is a Chinese idol named Yaochen (aka Yao Chen). He was a trainee at JYP in Korea at the same time the Stray Kids members were still just trainees. He's now a solo artist in China under a JYP subsidiary. Stray Kids and Yaochen have been great friends ever since, and 3Racha even wrote/produced a solo song for him. Later in the evening at this same AAA awards ceremony, Yaochen won an award and gave a shout-out to Stray Kids and especially to Bang Chan.

I would highly, very strongly, recommend the 2023 Billboard Music Awards performance. That is some of the best mixing I've ever heard on their mics. You could hear each of them *the whole time*.

This was an amazing performance with high energy. but they have other performance that will blow your mind. The 2022 MaMa awards was my favorite because it was near the end of their Maniac tour. Not sure why their are some groups with a lot of members and some with less. Usually, the companies have a say depending on their budget and investments. The companies usually know beforehand how many members they want for their next big group, and its about getting the right vocals that will blend well and be their money makers. Also, they go by visuals and stage chrisma. Korea has the formula for training young kids to mold them into idols. Most of the bigger entertainment companies are the ones with larger member groups. Love the reaction hope to see more stray kids. The blond guy is not the lead vocal he is mostly rapper and his name is Felix or sunshine. He was born in Australia. Because of his deep voice, he has fewer lines, but they are iconic and memorable. He has an amazing vocal range, too. Beautiful voice when he sings.

Its not 18. They are 8, in other groups are 5 ot 9. The reason its because kpop is not music "to listen", Its music "to watch" (choreoagrafy, singing an dancing, etc)

Stray kids doesn't really use Main or lead anymore. They do have a rap and vocal line though. Rap line - Changbin, Han, Felix and Hyunjin Vocal line - Bang Chan, Lee Know, I.N and Seungmin All members however, can both rap and sing. Han is especially impressive as a vocalist, people are always surprised that a "rapper" can sing like him. They all have beautiful voices and vocal tones when singing and all of them are unique as well. Bang Chan example is part of 3Racha (Bang Chan, Han and Changbin) which is the main producing unit of the group but before Stray Kids they were also a rap unit. Chan does more with vocals these days but is still an excellent rapper. 3Racha just won their first award for their production and song writing work. It was at this award show. Asian Artist Award for Best Creator. This performance was after 6 hrs of award show btw. They performed second to last. It was a 7 hr long award show. I got no sleep haha.

No, they’ll playfully compete but they all train/work in the same industry they’re generally good friends. Some groups will even put their comeback (aka new album release) on hold in order to support buddy groups. But their fans sure like to butt heads & put them in an awkward spot. You would probably like Road to Kingdom/Kingdom: Legendary War (in that order!)

I think they build the groups that size for a few reasons. 1) It is entertaining and variety in members means they can appeal to a larger fan base (different countries, languages, looks, etc.). 2) Because they sing, dance and rap in most songs they need different people with different strengths (over the years performers are becoming more and more well rounded so that is less necessary) 3) The size helps if they loose members over the years and/or for boy groups they have mandatory military service so at some point members have to take a haitus for almost 2 years to serve. With more members they can still make music and money for companies.

if you want to listen to some korean rappers. you should listen to blasé, lee young ji. They both just collab recently. There is another song I would recommend you should react to is blue check remix with a bunch of korean rappers like jay park etc.

if a man whining his hips is something ur not cool with then stray kid is NOT the group for you LMAOO they don’t care at all about keeping it masculine on stage or off. Especially Changbin, the buff one who raps like crazy, bros got Shakira hips
