Linkens has better stats, can be used on teammates and is better against some spells like burrowstrike, charge of darkness and snowball. Aghanims is cheaper and is significantly stronger against spells like hex.

Not against Legion Commander. Against Legion Commander Aghanim works badly because you still will duel her, because of Lotus Orb thing in aghanim. So nothing is going to change and you will still be in duel. It's also bad against Spirit Breaker and Sand King, because if Barathrum tries to charge you, you will be running to him because of Lotus. And if Sand King uses stun then you are going to move on his place and SK will be at your place. This new Aghanim not so bad, but against some heroes it's useless
