As you can see from the wording of this song like Moh - illusion and Brahman - God head, the song is basically a Kashmiri Hindu music that talks about spiritual confusion that comes from thinking human beings are seperate entities from each other. I was posted in the Valley this is a classical song of Kashmir. This Kashmiri lady has sung it very well. Maharaja Ranjit Singh had great respect for the Kashmiris. Kashmiris are great learners but always maintain their culture and values. Even in the West (I travel a lot) the Kashmiris have maintained their rich values, rarely follow the stone-age values such as dating, drinking wine (a Jewish ritual), marry only Kashmiris, etc. Thus are mostly not pseudo-westernized.
