Ivh habe dort studiert und die Fahrt durch die Borngasse an meiner alten Wohnung vorbei hat mich schon etwas berührt. Ich staune wie viele tolle neue Gebeude dazu gekommen sind seit den 99ern. Bischen wehmütig die Stadt wieder zu sehen in der ich damals so glücklich war, danke dafür.

Great video. Brings back memories as I lived there for 1 year - 2016 - 2017. Actually, at 15:32 you see "Einstein" bar which was our absolute favourite bar to have a beer. It was owned at the time by "Nikki" who became our really good friend. I do not think she owns the bar anymore. The road you were on was "Konigstrasse" and if you had carried on driving up there and straight over at the first junction, at the very top of Kinigstrasse is the old "Tax house". Number 75 Konigstrasse. That is where we lived when we were there. Our favourite restaurant was "Hanswurst" and we have some of their Clay Mugs back with us in the U.K. We are thinking about visiting all our friends there again next year.

Nicht wirklich, Aachen ist eine typische Stadt in NRW, bis auf die Altstadt ist Aachen schon recht heruntergekommen, dreckig, die Einkaufsstraße sah schon vor Corona unmöglich aus, keine Liebe für hübsche freundliche moderne Gestaltung und Instandhaltung, auch zu Weihnachten nicht. Ein Einkaufszentrum das man um Ruinen drumherum gebaut hat und ein weiteres Einkaufszentrum das nun sichtlich geschlossen ist, ein großes Millionengrab. Straßen die erneuert werden, werden wieder stellenweise nach Tagen, wenigen Wochen aufgerissen, es wird gebastelt und dauerhaft provisorisch zugepflastert und die neue Straße sieht aus als wäre sie schon 30 Jahre alt. Verglichen mit Maastricht, das sehr Lebensfroh ist, ist Aachen das absolute Gegenteil und niemand scheint daran etwas verändern zu wollen.

Gutes und sehenswertes Video von dem schönen Städtchen Aachen. Allerdings grenzt es fast an Körperverletzung, an allen Sehenswürdigkeiten einfach vorbeizufahren ohne mit der Kamera kurz darauf zu schwenken. Hauptbahnhof, Theater, Elisenbrunnen, Super C,... einfach an allem vorbeigefahren ohne es zu zeigen, als wären es Gebäude wie alle anderen. Immerhin das Ponttor hat man gesehen, aber auch nur weil man gerade darauf zufährt. Sehr, sehr traurig und schade!!

Aachen has a beautiful small historical center with Dom and city hall. Also Frankenberger Viertel has nice buildings and there are several nice parks around the city. For nightlife and parties we almost always drive to neighboring cities like Liege, Cologne, Maastricht and Duesseldorf.
