I consider all of us fortunate to be able to listen to the flawless and pristine sanskrit rendition by Shastry brothers. No one can render these shlokas with the command and pure sanskrit pronunciation. The Surya Mandala Stotram which begins at 50:51 is an astounding rendition. Why Shastry brothers should not receive National Award for this? Afterall mere cinema stars and film singers are given awards each year, why no award to people like Shastry brothers who expect nothing and give us so much peace. Why India is so indifferent to its roots?

This is a very important point. The national awards gains importance only if they are given to the people who have made genuine contributions. Ours is a very very ancient culture. At present our nation is very slowly recovering from British colonial attitude. In the space of 300 - 500 years we might be able to recover our self confidence on our roots. This is my feeling.

I have been chanting Aditya Hrudayam since the last 15 years. I used to listen various kind of chants but since October 2014, I have settled on Shastry Brothers as their intonation is good & deep sounding, there is a powerful rhythm as back beat & more than that there is total clarity in the Sanskrit pronunciation of the Shlokas...I request more regular prayers being chanted by them & posted on you tube so that the satisfaction of the prayers will be consummated.

+Caesar88888 It is a motivational hymn to Lord Rama in Yuddha Kandam to fight Ravana....& fulfil his mission on earth...fighting for good over evil...and this also motivates lesser mortals like us, specially so, when you are put in very irreconcilable situations....and where the seeker and the sought are one and the same. A parallel can be drawn, in Lord Krishna preaching Arjuna in the thick of the Mahabharata war...to do his duty without anticipation of any reward....It is more like a prayer to the Sun god....and I WAS MERELY COMMENTING ON THE PRONUNCIATION OF THE SHLOKAS...If you have any such good shlokas recommend them to me, please

Satyanarayan Kn I think that for motivation reading Bhagavad Gita and Shreemad Bhagavatam with Bhaktivedanta swami's commentaries is enough. prabhupadabooks.com - here its free. I thought that Aditya Hridayam can give you not only motivation but also results like sound health, wealth, victory over enemies and so on.
