அருமையான காணொலி..மூதாட்டியாரின் பாதம் பணிந்து வணங்குகிறேன். ஆங்கிலேயர் விட்டு சென்ற மிச்சங்கள் நமது மனதை தொடுகின்றன. இந்த தள்ளாத வயதிலும் என்ன ஒரு சுறுசுறுப்பு. விரைவான நடை. நறியாளாரால் ஈடு கொடுத்து அம்மையாருடன் நடக்கமுடியாமல் ஓடும் நிலை. என்ன தான் நமது பாரம்பரியம் பெறுமை பேசினாலும்(நானும் அதுபோல் பேசுபவன்தான்) வெள்ளைக்காரர்கள் இங்கே வந்திருக்காவிடில் நாம் இருண்ட ஆப்பிரிக்க காட்டுமிராண்டிகள் போல் இருந்திருப்போமோ. கல்வி, மருத்துவம், நாகரிகமாற்றம் என்று அவர்கள் பங்களிப்பு மகத்தானதல்லவா....நாடுபிடித்து காலனியாக மாற்றி நம்மை அடிமை படுத்தினார்கள் என்பது கொடுமைதான். ஒரேகுறை...ஈஸ்வர் அவர்கள் வந்தானுங்க, போனானுங்க, நிறைய கொழிந்திங்க செத்துச்சி, கொசுக்கு பயந்து மதுரையை விட்டு வந்ட்டானுங்க என்று கொச்சையாக பேசுவது சரியில்லை. பல ஆயிரம்பேர் பார்க்கும் காணொலியில் பொதுவெளியில் பேசுகிறோம் நினைவில் நிறுத்தி நாகரிகத்தை பேணுவது இன்றிமையானதல்லவா? But video is amazing awesome excellent.. Today there may be hundreds of ultramodern highteck hospitals...since 100 years vellore CMC is world famous best hospital to where people turn out across india and why across globe is remarkable. It is well known for best treatment. Similarly there may be a lot high tech corporate hospitals may be seen in Madras. But, the one only Vijaya hospital is world famous hospital since 65 years. All hospitals are next to CMC and Vijaya hospitals only... Why this much, when I was 5, 6 years old the only best government hospital called in those days as லண்டன் தோட்டான் ஆஸ்ளத்திரி கீழ்பாக்கம்..for all small and big ailments we use to go. One old age compounder wore white Gandhi cap use to give us the one and only mixture syrup in a green bottle for all diseases by dumping from big ceramic jar (ஜாடி) same looks like the present day mineral water can. now it is KMC. But what miracle is the only maroon color syrup will cure what ever disease it may be... Unforgetable golden days..will it come back? Reminiscent hilarious memories...

I’m sorry to say, but you have a colonized mindset, still glorifying the British. India was not theirs to rule and they benefited a lot from the time they spent in India. They may have made some contributions yes, but it wasn’t entirely selfless either. Even the graves were segregated and you are finding fault with them being referred to as “avan ivan”. Let’s stop glorifying the suppression of our own people. They gave us English and introduced their ways, but that doesn’t mean our ancestors lived like uncivilized people before that. We have such a rich heritage and history. Education, literature, arts and culture was very much advanced way before the British invaded India. Please get your facts right before you put the British up on a pedestal.
