Yes you are right, however would just wanna make some correction. She is active from 1984 in bollywood and she was exactly 40 years old at the time of Aaja Nachle movie. Her very first movie came in 1984 called Abodh by Rajshri Productions.

This song is brilliant but not a masterpiece. There is another song from the same movie called “Laila Majnu”..now THAT is a masterpiece. The context of that song is a broadwayish theatre performance of Indian Romeo and Juliet (hence Laila Majnu). Bring out your salt n pepper wand for that one. Everything about that song from music to choreography to cinematography to costumes and performances screams masterful. Please do check that one out.

You'd think many takes would be required, and it probably does but even for Madhuri's latest song (Tabaah Ho Gaye) she had only 6 sessions of practice before shooting the video. I'd recommend that song too

If you want to see some semi classical dance and classical Hindustani Music, and Madhuri Dixit performance on it.. Watch "Kahe Chhed Chhed Mohe" in the movie called "Devdas". You wouldn't be disappointed... If you get the idea of what the song is about by reading song translation before reacting, it would be better, but either way it's a great song...
