Well articulated interview by a statesman General Musharraf. I believe he was sincere in resolving the Kashmir issue during his tenure. Unfortunately the then leaders of India were too consumed by political fallout of such solution. They feared such solution would be unpopular with Indian public. People of subcontinent use emotions instead of intellect. Resources are being wasted on hurting each other. Fear of a political fall outs is keeping both sides from a bold, may be unpopular solution. I am a Pakistani who sees Indians as humans and have many Indian friends. I am sure there are many similar saner Indians who long for resolution of conflict between the two countries. At the end what ever solution is acceptable to Kashmiri people should be acceptable to both countries. Emotions are clouding our good judgement. Pride and false national ego is hurting both people. I don't see an end to this insanity any time soon. Just look at how people comment against each other in comments section. Anyone who does not follow the national narrative is branded traitor. Difference of opinion is not treason. Look at what is happening to Om Puri and Kejriwal in India. Just merely asking questions has being equated with treason. India is a democracy after all. In democracy people are supposed to have difference of opinion. My advice to fellow Pakistanis is please refrain from using foul language against India or Indians. Especially do not say anything about their religion. Its not right. I hope you guys listen.

Late PM Nehru visited UNO and requested for stopping the fight in Kashmir. The issue will be resolved on table with mutual understanding. mate , Musharaf is a dictator who was clever enough to turn into a politician before the international community reacted against him.(dictatorship is seen as the worst type of government, even communist governments seem as a dream compared to it. I have to say, hats off to Sir Musharraf, the way you responded and given very balanced answers. Even the anchor was not conducted a balanced discussion. She don't know the esthetics and optimism to have a valued discussion. All the time she was dragging the discussion into wrong way. I don't know how they claim to be an anchor without optimistic approach. This is the true gesture of India towards resolution. They are killing innocent peoples of Kashmir but don't want to accept their terrorism. World is looking on you and you have to pay back with interest. Also the surgical strike you wanted to put on Pakistan, you can only fantasise bcuz the reality is different and whole media is writing on it. You will get results soon!
