Both Shri Lalu Prasad & Shri Nitish Kumar have always hankered after power by all means throughout their public life, for them politics has been the ultimate means to play gimmickry & Invoke caste equations to perennially hold onto power themselves . If Shri Prasad could get his housewife elected as CM to hold onto power,Kumar tried the trick with a suave Manjhi in later years (which off course exposed his unflinching attachment with the Bihar throne) Both were considered protege of janta party stalwarts & respected Bihar statesmen Satyendra narayan singh & Karpoori Thakur who believed in selfless politics but they quickly abandoned their mentors in their respective quest for power, off course they do remember them for political ornamental purposes every now or then Both always have been and are strong caste leaders at the core with a prejudiced approach for the electorate on the other side of social pyramid The infamous 'Raj' of 15 years led to absolute denigration of democratic system and collapse of the essential structure of governance! Crime was patronised and govt. Was non existent, only the diktat of the supreme leader prevailed, unlike the golden 15 years of Shri Babu - Anugrah Babu regime in 50s , these excruciatingly 'eventful' 15 years led to un making of Bihar! Shri Kumar captilized on it to storm to Bihar but once again both the have come together to hold on and stay in power, no matter what ever happens! (only in Bihar can fire and water coexist for the sake of power)
