Even with all of the controversies between her Uncle Barry with Blackground 2.0 and her family’s estate, her music NEEDED to be released. Aaliyah was UNDER and signed with Blackground when she was alive and she still was their artist after she passed. She literally DIED for her music and her music was her everything. Her music DESERVED to be released to set Aaliyah finally free and to finally Rest In Peace. She can now go back and finally rest knowing her art is available all over the world for all her fans. Whoever it’s benefiting or getting the money is something I’m not as concerned about rather than Aaliyah’s legacy and music being available as a result of the dedication to it she literally gave her life for. Love you always, Aaliyah. You’ll never be forgotten ❤️

THE WAY THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD IMAGINED FOR I REFUSE!!! The MV would’ve started with a carriage leaving at night in the rain then we find Aaliyah in an abandoned mansion with a Greek god-like beige dress with a corset crying that her mans left her, then the rest of the MV would’ve been her reminiscing the times she was with her mans & deciding to let go of him and the memories she had with him, burns down the mansion and leaves walking in a big field with a white dress meaning that she is finally a free woman
@cestmoi19873 жыл бұрын
SAME!!! WTF
@kylekingofdaworld3 жыл бұрын
I my idea is similar. it would be set in a massive castle in a freak storm, no electricity all candle light. and she's a royal princess. her demeanour would be very princess diana-like. gorgeous and gracefully but timid and fragile until finds her strength to escape the turmoil of a loveless marriage. tearing off her elaborate evening gown and escaping into the storm on a white horse in the end. Static would've been in the video as the pianist or the piano keys would be seen moving but no one is at the piano. (as if its a ghost thats playing)
@drymeee3 жыл бұрын
@@kylekingofdaworld ooh a mix of both of our ideas seems AMAZING but no matter what she would’ve done the MV would’ve been top notch! Also forgot to mention my idea of her MV would’ve been set in a 19th century Victorian era-like

Learned every word and sang along matching her harmonies. It's almost crazy that I still remember every lyric. This was always one of my favorite traccs on the album. The theatrical approach. The piano, the rain, the horse galloping and the climax. It was really a thriller. It tooc u thru those motions. These visuals are a great touch too, wen at one point all we had was the music. Thank u all for bringing Aaliyah bacc to life /.\🕊️

This is beautiful.. this to me is a 19-century like vision. It’s sad that she couldn’t do a music video of this dramatically sad, but amazing song. It would set place there’s a rainstorm with Aaliyah as a princess crying in this mansion because her man left her and there we see Static on the orchestra and Timbaland on the piano, and it would be Aaliyah recapping to us about the memories she and her man had, and it would end with Aaliyah, along with Static and Timba walking out of the mansion and Static burning the mansion, signaling that Aaliyah’s now a free woman

I could see an amazing video for this song. The setting is in the 17th century, there’s a war happening that her love interest is involved in and Aaliyah tried to tell him to stay but he refuses and leaves. Aaliyah sings her heart out in their home which is a castle. The film cuts from the war to Aaliyah singing. Towards the end of the video, Aaliyah runs out of the castle to find her lover while it’s pouring rain. Her love becomes injured from a bullet and Aaliyah finds him and hold him while he’s dying on the floor.
