Aaliyah performing "One In A Million" on The Showtime At The Apollo in 1996. Since official AaliyahVEVO already uploaded "If Your Girl Only Knew" in perfect quality, we included only Steve Harvey announcement of that performance. Also pardon the first verse quality, but our HQ was broken at this part.

+Eccentricka1, sometimes God has a more important assignment he needs certain people to do in Heaven than on Earth and he'll take them home early to do it. People think Heaven is a retirement center for souls. It's a busy active place with things that need to be done that affects all creation. It's one of the many reasons young people die early.

Aaliyah tended to sing a octave lower when singing live , you can hear it in her voice her voice sounds different from the record/ a little shakey its live as for her falsetto that was a very easy register for her she mastered it by the time she was 14 when she had her first album.

What I like about Aaliyah is that her dancing was still good and memorable but she didn't have to do the most. She had really good subtle dancing. Side note: can people stop comparing her to Beyoncé!!! Two completely different artists. Beyoncé is a power singer and Aaliyah had a much softer quality to her voice. Both incredibly talented, incredibly beautiful Black Women. Instead of pitting Black Women against each other we should be building them up because let's be real, they both are dope ass artists.

That chest voice of hers is impressive (dark and STRONG) and uses it extensively live. I'm convinced she was a true alto. Compare her with Beyonce at the same age whose chest voice is nothing in comparison to Aaliyah's

Yes, very good singer. There seems to be some technical issues, though.

I think alot of people took Aaliyah vocals for granted back in the day. The way she goes from hi to low notes is crazy. I remember seeing her at the budweiser superfest back in 97 in D.C. with my sis who passed 2 years after Aaliyah and I was on my feet the entire time!

There will never be another "Babygirl/ betta known as Aaliyah". Twenty-two years since her passing, and I can't name one artist that had an impact on me the way Aaliyah did. She truly was "One In A Million". Rest in peace...the Princess of RnB until we see you again.

I never thought aaliyah was a great vocalist but she could sing and move and was beautiful and had dope songs so she was easy to sell. Total package. This wasnt a great vocal performance all the way through but i honestly didn't care, she had mystery, magic and grace.
