A typical Bengali meal always ends with sweets. Mishti Doi, Rosogolla and Tok are the most common and loved desserts that are served in almost all the Bengali households. Aam er Ambol or Aam er Tok - a subtly sweet, more tangy, light and soupy broth- is a Bengali dish made with green, unripe mangoes in the peak of summer and usually served as a coolant at the end of a meal or along with the meal. our summer afternoon meals are incomplete without this.Also, the tok tastes great when it is served chilled. I usually make tok at night and keep in the refrigerator overnight.

500 g kacha aam (green mangoes)
1 tbsp mustard oil
2 pc dried red chilli
½ tsp mustard seeds
salt according to taste
¼ tsp turmeric
130 g sugar
500 g water
