Aam er Ambol or Aam er Tok - a subtly sweet, more tangy, light and soupy broth- is a Bengali dish made with green, unripe mangoes in the peak of summer and usually served as a coolant at the end of a meal or along with the meal. our summer afternoon meals are incomplete without this.Also, the tok tastes great when it is served chilled. I usually make tok at night and keep in the refrigerator overnight.

500 g kacha aam (green mangoes)
1 tbsp mustard oil
2 pc dried red chilli
½ tsp mustard seeds
salt according to taste
¼ tsp turmeric
130 g sugar
500 g water
