Sahara had built this so called Aamby Valley almost 15 /20;years back and some well known politicians had also put in money. Objection was raised by people who said since there already exists hill stations in Maharashtra, why do we need another won,unfortunately SAHARA won the case and this so called hill station came up. For quite sometime public were restricted from going there. Subroto Roy the promoter of this scam was arrested and jailed for few years, now he has been released on bail. From where he got so much money to aquire such a large property is a mystery. Not only this property but the stadium in Pune and quite a few properties abroad. Since he could not repay the loans, his properties have been sized by economic offence department. Since he does not have that much wealth now, probably Aamby Valley is being sold as tourist hill station.

I will not use the same language, but i agree that Aamby Valley is not exactly what this family faced. I and my husband stayed in these cottages for 15 days. The place is very well serviced and the staff was smart and kind. It is a possibility that this family may have chanced upon a bad time. Also, the actual purpose for this section of Aamby Valley is seclusion and not the views or extreme hospitality. That is why it is so expensive.
