Honestly, I always felt that most clothes in Zara are not very flattering on our body type, and in all these years I have barely managed to find anything that fits me well… and of course the prices are insanely high.

Thanks aanam, it so refreshing to see a content creator I have been following since my teenage years, actually discuss geopolitics, in my young adulthood because it very relevant. It affects humans, so many people we know or don’t know so much. And I am more than satisfied to finally have these conversations on more mainstream content. Everything is politics whether we like it or not! Zara to begin w is pure business. They don’t care. At all. For Zara, money speaks and that is all that matters. They are the ones to exploit the concept of fast fashion and funding sweat shops all over East Asia, especially. Just oppressing human rights, minting money at the cost of sustainability of this planet. Even without the political debate Zara is a down right shit company. The quality of fabric is sub par, so synthetic, the stitching is sub par, the designs are stolen. I don’t see, literally a single reason to buy from them. Even if the clothes photograph well, that photograph captures so much disgust that I feel it’s not worth associating w something that just “looks good”. As for their recent campaigns, it’s just an extension of the tone deaf nature of dumb brands like these. Since seeing your journey coping w the horrific war, I feel this can be a catalyst for someone as aware and conscious as you to just quit these stupid companies and explore the brighter side. None of the pieces aanam honesty were worth the money, you know it, as a owner of a clothing line yourself. They are just robing common man’s hard earned money in exchange of literal crap. I promise you there are better brands out there, more honest, more sustainable, giving back to the society…and not necessarily more expensive!! It’s just for us to find out and explore that realm. I am already on that journey and thrifting in India is tough but really fun. Every piece is a story in that sense and I love it and enjoy the experience so much. I am sure someone’s like you will too. I really hope you return everything and never go back to them because frankly girl, YOU DESERVE BETTER.

The conflict with Zara was artificially created and blown out of proportion. The photo shoot was done long before the war and had nothing to do with Palestine! In that ill-fated photo on which there was supposedly a map of Palestine, one could have seen a map of any other country, if one really wanted to!) This is a real demarche against Zar, which was started by not very educated people, and then picked up by Zar’s competitors! Ashamed to talk about it! Zara is the most beautiful brand that creates fashionable, beautiful clothes at reasonable prices. and they never interfered in politics. I had stopped buying from Zara after that campaign. It was truly atrocious and even if it was filmed prior to it I am certain there is someone in place who reviews campaigns prior to releasing it. It was immoral and unethical of the brand , not to mention ZARA’s quality and stiching is really not on par with rhe pricing. I would like to talk about on a lighter note about this haul. I loved a lot of pieces and didn’t like few. The green shirt looks amazing. These shirts are little loose fitted and looks nice tucked in or tied up. I have 5 of them in different colours and are perfect to pair with different. I too have the blue play suit and while trying i also thought it was a dress and wore exactly like you did putting both legs in one side 🤣 You got it on discount that’s great and paid full price for it and didn’t find it worth for 3400 🙈 Also loved all the footwear’s that you have got. Hey, about the sling back shoes, keep in mind that we all have one foot smaller than the other, so it’s not necessarily the shoes that’s the problem, but our foot size being different on each side. Also, my cat’s name is Dymo, and he is 7…my baby!!

I do think we need to hold the brand accountable. I don't know if you should shop from them or not or if you want to return the clothes, go marie kondo on your wardrobe, but I DO thing that posting about them is on the nose. For 300k people to see the brand's name on your channel or for whoever aspires to be like you, watching the video itself can be confusing. Thank you for being open to hearing other perspectives. I think the way you shed light on the issue in the beginning couple minutes is appreciable. However, not everyone will click on the video and actually hear your take. The title would come across almost as grabby - as if Zara's fashion wasn't great or for other frivolous reasons like that. Secondly, the thumbnail, IMO is also so happy and excited, it just gives me the vibe that what is projected in the thumbnail+title vs what your thoughts on the issue are - are discordant. Towards the end (yes, I watch every video to the end even if it is not something I am perfectly fond of) is the idea of separating the art from the artist. In this case we have to look at zara as a brand. part of a multi million portfolio - there isn't anything "artist" about the brand - as opposed to the personal brand of a creator. The promotion pieces of Zara were a BUSINESS decision. Not personal beliefs etc that everyone is entitled to have. I personally own a lot of zara, including every colour in the first shirt you bought and I will perhaps continue to buy, even though i wont be raving about them to friends as i usually did in the past. Intentional or not, this brand "Zara" decided to go ahead with that disgusting campaign, despite being aware of the current situation in Palestine, which has been going on for about a year now, more or less. At this point, you can't convince me that anyone, that too a brand like Zara is completely unaware of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. This brand doesn't deserve a second chance. Their apology can go to hell. Should have thought of the consequences before using dead bodies, shrouds and awfully resembling map of Palestine in their campaign, and publicizing it at the same time of the genocide. WOW! Coincidence? It's way beyond unethical! These excuses don't sit well with me. I'd not even watch Zara hauls from now on, let alone shop from them. I'll honestly say that you should have returned these clothes ASAP instead of going forward with this haul, despite knowing what happened. When you're in doubt, choose the safer option. Rather than regretting your decision in the near future. I don't understand why would you even go forward with the haul in the first place? Because, this whole apology and unaware facade of Zara doesn't sit well with me.
