hearing all of this and having a basic knowledge of neuroscience, and having had a really odd experience following a "minor chest infection" that....couldn't have been leaves me wondering.... my experience; - began with fatigue, running out of breath crossing campus, slight cough, unproductive, and fluctuating temp, I HAD to be at lecture so I kept pushing on, until I literally couldn't anymore. -I had days when for a few hours I felt nearly fine, but then *boom* would get feeling faint, short of breath, and also everything got really loud, like I was having auditory processing problems - I was unable to talk on the phone because I didn't have enough breath, and my brain was just not working, I had to struggle so hard to attempt conversation. - and also numbness in hands and feet. (this numbness still occurs almost daily) finally I have enough energy to drive myself to a clinic, and when I got there my o2 and HR were fine, and they gave me an X-ray but there was just an ever so slight sign of infection, nothing to explain my breathing difficulty, I think I was given an inhaler and a "mild" antibiotic that was to be taken over I think 10 days, and honestly, the doctor didn't seem like he believed what I was telling him I was experiencing because my vitals were fine at the moment, but It took everything in my to get to that office, and by the time I had gotten back home I was utterly exhausted and again shortness of breath, very shallow breathing, not feeling like I'm actually getting enough oxygen. I took the meds but it continued to get worse, for about 5 days? maybe even longer, all I could really do was sit on the couch with my feet up and focus on breathing, breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out I had NO energy, like lifting my arm was too hard. I was very lucky to have a room mate at the time and he took care of me, yet he didn't get sick, my kids didn't get sick at that time either. but the doc had made me feel like I was being overdramatic, and I was taking the antibiotics, but it wasn't getting better. I should also mention that I have ADD and during this time I COULD NOT take my ADD meds as I was struggling with very low appetite, and when I took my meds my heart would race, and It felt like my brain was over revving, if that makes any sense? def increase anxiety. I was *very* sick for well over a month, had to drop my classes because my brain just did not work and I literally couldn't physically go to lecture. "recovery" was slow, I had to take it VERY easy because if I exerted too much energy I would be out of energy for days following, it was like a remitting reoccurring type thing, it would go away, then come back, I would be great and have energy and be able to focus on my academics or whatever I was doing, but then later in the day, or the next day, completely crash, and not an ADD med crash (like when it wears off) - complete sudden exhaustion, I've been experiencing frequent aphasia ever since to this day, my memory is shot to shit, I can forget I'm making a cup of coffee while making it, and I find my mind has to search a lot harder to retrieve information. I was NOT dx'd with COVID at the time as they were not yet testing for it here, however, we have a LOT of international students from china, and perhaps.....I am eager to get antibody testing done because the resulting change in my cognitive abilities has been frightening and discouraging, and I fear, irreversible. I am about......70% mentally and physically where I was before I got sick. some days it even less than that. I still have breathing problems, I get winded very quickly, and at times have to sit down and focus on breathing because I get faint. I don't know...I don't know if what I had was COVID. I want to know. my kids did end up getting sick just about the tail end of where it was the worst for me, but 1, my 9 yr old was Dxd with tonsillitis, although he had a slight unproductive cough, sore muscles, sore neck, and seemed very lethargic, complained of headaches, and just seemed ....and it took quite a while for him to shake it, and then both 9 & 6 also came down with HFM (hand foot and mouth) (not tests done just a look, "oh thats HFM" and also bronchitis. it was like boom boom boom sickness in my house for several months straight. any input?

We need to open more vendors that make medical supplies when there is NOT a pandemic. This is what it shows me. Maybe hospitals can create that side of it to be self sufficient? I'd be more than willing to work in a building along side each hospital that makes their own supplies so that we become more self-sufficient?

why isn't the neuro side of the virus infections being educated in the public?

Maybe some students can do a look at the neurons in the gut to see if the virus invades there. On cadavers.

Could that be the virus in the neurons in the gut where we are seeing GI symptoms? Like when the virus is said to go into the CNS? of the brain?
