Thanks for sharing the truth. Without this I could have taken wrong decision. Actually I left my merchant navy job bcoz of 6-7 months away from family and now I realise AAO is same as getting that apart from the fact that in the former one it is on stretch whereas in AAO its on breaks. Lots of money doesn't matter if it does I wouldn't have left merchant navy. Would be opting for 2800 gp in home state. Will try my best for ASO in CSS or 4600 gp home state in 2023

Most think AAO post attract social respect, gazetted and high salary..but in reality inside office we're just ordinary.. yes money is there but very little time for social life.. field job is very hectic.. travelling is tiresome.. and you have to sacrifice healthy foods.. and promotion is very slow.. i repeat slow.. when you hit 30+ you'll soon realised that stability job is far better..at first i myself is also attracted to AAO..the only thing good about AAO is high salary and gazetted post.. so i gave cgl 2022 again and i will opt ITI or DA..

Sir, if I get home Posting by opting 2400,2800 gp then how can it be better than 4600 gp in other state, as you know now the promotions are getting delayed and noone can predict the future aspect of promotion, and in starting also salary difference will be more than 30k

AAO is best post ever from cgl..you can go upto level 12 which is not possible in any other post from ssc cgl...just check the difference in salaries and you guys will understand...and overall AAOs are always posted in X or Y city and never Z city..good lifestyle
